It may be your provider--if a lot of people are on at the same time, mine will slow down.

if you do not have some type of ad blocking in place that will slow it down considerably while all those many large ads load, which is one more reason I personally use firefox with adblock plus and easylist. It really does make a big difference when you do not have to wait for all that junk to load.

Have you rebooted? Done a diskchk and defrag lately? There's a lot of reasons why things will slow down. I doubt the site is to blame.

I do the Firefox/AdBlock thing and pages load immediately.

since pattico was very specific in her post and said coming HERE as in GW site I addressed the issue to that, different than the whole computer being slow.
Knowing that GW is a heavily ad loaded site that is a known cause for slowing the site here down.
Agreed if the entire pc is slow there could be many reasons.

Could it be the ads that GW has that you don't have on other sites? Do you have the ads blocked on GW?
