I'm tired of all the people in this association running their sprinklers even after we've had way to much rain in the last 2 weeks. Our association pays the waterbills (from our assessment fees that are now $75.00 a month). And they run them for 1/2 hour on each station. They're just to lazy to go out and shut them off when it rains. So, I've been pushing the idea of getting rain sensors put on our systems. It'd run about $50.00 per unit. They'll pay for themselves in 2 months with the water we'd save that is just running down into the sewer.

Politics, war, the economy, celebrities.

everything, life in general just plain stinks right now but im not feeling sorry for myself, i feel worse for my parents who are going through the roughest hardships of their lives..and that just po's me and im saying it in a polite way.

I'm also tired of people who go on tv to air their dirty laundry or participate in reality shows and then cry because they want their privacy...(ie Jon & Kate +8)

Tired of Illinois politicians being corrupt and crooked and crying when they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

I'm tired of people telling me how little sleep they get. (They see it as a badge of honor. "Sleep eight hours? Oh, I'm *much* to busy to sleep that long.")

I'm tired of people telling me how busy their lives are. (Again, they see it as a badge of honor. "Gardening? Oh, I couldn't possibly. You have no idea the stress I'm under.")

I'm tired of people telling me about every little ache and pain. Your knees hurt? So do mine. So do those of many people over the age of 40. So what?

I'm tired of people using the word "flu" to denote illness. I'm especially tired of people saying that they had "a touch of the flu." I've never heard of influenza touching you - it knocks you down and pounds on you until you can barely get out of bed!

I'm tired of hearing people say that things are so much worse than they used to be, using anecdotal "evidence" from the news. ("Oh, my dear, we're just not safe any more. Did you hear what happened to that poor girl in Idaho ...???" Never mind that crime rates are back down to what they were in the early 1970's and that the speaker lives 1,000 miles away from Idaho.) I always think that if people *really* went back to the halcyon days of yore, they'd be in for a rude awakening.

I'm tired of bored people. I'm tired of people who say that they like a particular book or movie or television show because, "it asks so little of me." I'm tired of people who don't use the brain God gave them.

Okay, there you go. And me, I'm really a pretty optimistic person!:)

I guess I'm tired of life going so fast. Maybe that's why I'm tired. Seems you can't digest and enjoy what's right in front of you before it's time to move on. No, not being nostalgic; just wish people could, if they desired, just enjoy life. Now there is so much complexity and competition in it.

I'm tired of having to listen to what someone else regards as music on thier cell phones...I detest ringtones, SO anoying... and also "please enjoy the music while your party is reached !!! even if it were a good piece of music which it usually is not, with the crummy speakers the cell phones have it will still sound bad, and usually is horrible, an offense to my ears.
I take care of accounts recievable at work, and have to make a lot of calls every day.

I am tired of all the negative news on the news shows and talk shows. All bad news, with the most dire predictions. I just cannot watch any of it any longer. (Do you remember all the dire predictions about January 1, 2000?) They need to do some real research and some real reporting. Lazy media.

I'm tired of the FOX News Network; their constant 24/7 NEGATIVITY gives me a headache even when I'm just scanning the dial and see them for a second!

Reality TV! And the making of so many people into "McCelebrities".

Ringtones??? DonÂt get me started on that. My cell phone goes "ding-a ling-a ling" No music to annoy others with. I also hate the Âenjoy the music while your party is reached". IÂve learned to pull the phone away from my ear before the music starts.

AlsoÂpeople who have more than one person or their children (5 & younger) on their answering machines.

I have a coworker who has the "enjoy the music while your party is reached" annoying music AND when her machine kicks in she has her 4 year-oldÂs do the message. "ItÂs something likeÂ."We not hereÂPeez leve mezzage". I SO want to tell her what I think of that but I keep my mouth shut.

At the officeÂpeople who call looking for information and they have their tv or radio blasting in the background. I always say "Could you please turn down your tv/music and repeat everything you just said"? Or worse.. At the officeÂpeople who call looking for information and they say "Can I put you on hold and then leave you hanging". Those people I give one or two minutes and then I hang up.

People over reacting - aka, acting like pricks. There's was a news story the other day where a bus driver pulled over in a parking area to talk on his cell phone. Someone taped him and reported him. For gosh sakes, his mother could have been in an emergency. Another one was when someone recorded a train worker sleeping on the train. His job had nothing to do with keeping the train operating.

Sure, report someone when they're being rude or not doing their job properly but for gosh sakes stop jumping to conclusions and trying to be the first person to tattle tale.

Worst than children.

People leaving their trash such as shopping lists, empty sample containers, kleenex, etc. in grocery carts and the ones who can't be bothered to place the divider on the check-out belt behind their groceries; people, esp. in California here, who still talk on their cell phones while driving even tho it is now illegal to do so (the law obviously doesn't apply to THEM because they're waaaaay too important; tired of our taxes going up up up through the roof and the roads and public services going right into the dumper; tired of water bills that are outrageous because the powers that be in this state can't or won't come up with solutions (hey...there's a big ocean right there....there's got to be ways to use make it usable!); people who don't pick up after their dogs on public sidewalks and in parks; ditto on all the sexual enhancement commercials on TV...it IS like soft porn.

OK now I'm crabby.

Wow, I didn't know I was tired of so many things until I read all these posts! Right now, I'm also tired of heat heat heat. I know, it's summer and I do have air conditioning but, good grief, when the weather people talk about the cool front next week that's supposed to lower the temp to 98 degrees......aaaarrrgggh.

I hate hate hate.....when I am out somewhere be it outside or in a store....when people are talking outloud and cursing.....I do have to say that Brian will speak up...and say something to them that they should not speak that way in front of his wife and whoever else is around...i wish he would just try and ingore it but he won't because besides them me hearing it usually we have one of the kids with us....doesn't matter they are teens and hear it all the time on tv etc....but to speak that way randomly is terrible......stacy

I'm tired of public obscenity, cursing, foul language, etc. People use it with no consideration for whether there are kids around. That's what really bothers me!

I used to be a news junky. Not anymore. I'm sick of the latest headline grabbing news story being repeated over and over and over days on end until the next headline grabbing news story comes along. The first time it's news. After that it's history. There are few if any people left in the world who didn't hear it the first day. After that do your job and find some new "news" to talk about.

I am tired of companies who sell you junk appliances. The warranty is for 1 year and if anything goes wrong a day after the warranty expires they turn a deaf ear.
I bought a range from 1 company and the touch panel quit working and the oven got all pock marked on the bottom after cleaning. It is supposed to be one of the best of all the appliances. Bull Tweety!

I am tired of neighbors who have too many unspayed cats.

Another thing I'm tired of is credit card companies sending those checks along with your bill. I'd never use one of them and it's a waste of a tree.

I'm tired of going to the local McD's and having to drive all the way back because they screw up my order. They can't get the simpliest order right. I've even bought just one item, more than once...unsweet iced tea, and got sweet tea (yesterday) and a couple other times or HiC.

Yesterday they also screwed up and didn't give us Lauren's chicken sandwich or fries. Alex was driving and didn't even get the receipt or look at the order. I always look first now. I had to drive all the way back, but called first because I had no receipt. They knew that we didn't pick it up and said "oh, the no lettuce chicken?" The other half of the time they don't give us straws or bbq sauce I ask for. Is it really that hard a job that they screw it up 95% of the time? And why is it only the ones here in this town, we have two now so I started going to the new one...no difference.

There's one in Lexington I drive by on my way home from work and they've only messed my order up once in the last 6 years I've been going there. I just don't get it.

I agree with Sheryl. The Michael Jackson coverage is there because there are a lot of people who want it. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Even though I think some people are being callous towards him right now, I don't like all the coverage either- so I am just not turning the TV on, and I'm scanning on-line news and choosing the articles I am interested in to read.

I'm tired of doing my coworker's work while she goes shopping and golfing. I might make a post about that.

I'll add;

I'm tired of this sense of entitlement in teenagers today and their parents (my generation) supporting and encouraging that. How obnoxious and WRONG they are. Guess what buddy, you're a BRAT get over yourself!

I'm tired of seeing kids walking around with giant energy drinks. They are so bad for you and contribute to obesity. Diabetes will run rampant in the coming years. Those energy drinks, Arizona Teas, Flavored waters, sports drinks are multiple servings per container. Look at the sugar - caffeine - sodium... and multiply that by the number of servings. It's crazy.

Added to that, I'm tired of seeing obese children and teens in my town. What is going on?

I'm tired of seeing kids (and adults)on bikes with no helmets on. It's the law to wear a helmet. But kids make fun of other kids and think it isn't cool to wear a helmet. It doesn't take much of a smack to the skull to cause serious (and sometimes permanent or fatal) brain trauma.

Ok one more, I am also tired of seeing reality shows and other shows were the people in cars are not wearing seat belts. You watch, HGTV competitions - the contestants pile into the van and NO one has a seat belt on. That's just one fresh on my mind right now. I've seen major stars who put dashboard cameras in their cars and tape while they are out driving and they don't have on their seat belt. I know we are all responsible for ourselves, but isn't that also a law? Or is that only in California? Maybe it is because I spent a few years as a Paramedic and I've seen the difference between a person in an accident who wore a seat belt and one who didn't. Usually the one who didn't was dead or well on their way.
How hard is it to buckle up?

Get you children / grandchildren OFF YOUR LAPS and buckle them up! No they are NOT safer in your arms. Maybe it is just my area, but I am so tired of seeing this. I can't believe there are still people out there that do this.

Thin-skinned people, people who lie awake nights trying to be offended, people who look for a word they can find offensive. I firmly believe there's people whose hobby is being offended.

Getting hit up at the stores to donate to the cause du-jour and trying to make you feel guilty if you don't contribute.

People getting sucked in by telemarketers, email scams or whatever else and then crying about it. Some people will never learn.

Hypocrites. It's fine for a celebrity to lie, cheat, steal, not pay bills, molest children, rape, murder or whatever else and it's met with oh but they're so talented..., but if some average joe accidently drops a piece of paper they get crucified.

People that say they'll do or not do something and don't follow through. If you say you're coming over, calling or whatever, DO IT! And be ON TIME!

"For English, press one..." then give me someone who can't speak English. For that matter, all the "support" lines being across the world.

Stench. Why does every cleaner, candle, mop or whatever have to have a smell and be dyed? I'm tired of choking every time I pass the cleaner/detergent aisles in stores.

Partisan politics carried to such extremes. Just because an idea came from across the aisle, it's automatically bad. Can't acknowledge that the other side has some good ideas.

Wrong change so often. That was a TWENTY I gave you, not a TEN. Happened again at a local restaurant. If you'd use the cash register it'll tell you how much to give back.

7 yo kids with cell phones. Yet these same kids "can't" pay to participate in extra curricular activities. Yeah right.

Singles & couples having to pay for others' kids extra curricular activities. Cough up parents! We'll gladly help teach your kid to read and write but YOU can pay for their band, football and trips to Washington.

Post office not delivering mail. They just throw a slip in the mailbox telling me to come and get it. I think I should get a refund on postage since the lazy b@stards aren't doing their jobs!

People who can't see over the steering wheel, drive 10 mph, put on their signal and start changing lanes (the signal means I don't have to look, right??), stop on the end of the freeway entrance ramp and stare into the mirror and the people who've had their turn signals on since 1988.

And lastly, that comes to mind... people who drive with their headlights on at high noon on a clear day.

Cynic - my headlights are on when my car is running, it's just the way my car is. I have no control over it. I think a lot of cars are made this way.
