I don't get why people get so worked up over it. Sheesh. Aren't there a lot better things to stress you out? Disclaimer: I have mostly atomic clocks so very little resetting around here. I don't have a structured life, having to report somewhere at a certain time. I sleep when I want and do things when I want. The only, albeit slight impact on me is store hours but an hour give or take is petty in my life. And I'll say that when I was working semi-normal to normal hours I really enjoyed having the sun in the afternoon. When I'd work nights, it was nice to have the sun up "earlier". Seems to me the ones who go craziest over it are the ones impacted the least! My dad used to get so worked up over DST. He'd be screaming "YOU CAN CHANGE THE CLOCK BUT YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE SUN!" Uh yeah, don't you get it? You CAN'T change the sun, so you change the clock. In today's popular vernacular, "DUH!" And ironically, he seemed to always enjoy having daylight when he'd be driving home from work. My estimate is 90% of people who grouse about DST are hobbyists. They make a hobby out of complaining! Nothing FORCES you to change your clocks. Go by your own time. I'm on CST (Cynic Saving Time) year round. I don't get worked up over it. Saves me stress and provides entertainment watching people making mountains from the proverbial molehills.

I thought you might like to see the end result. While the bathroom is finished, I'm still working on styling it. This first picture is the entrance from the master bedroom. I have tried to take pictures from the same angles as the originals. This view above is from the vanity looking back to the bedroom door on the right and the closet door in the back. I may put a free standing make up table to the right of the closet door. I am in the process of hunting for a simple one that has a top that opens to a mirror and everything can be tucked inside the vanity except for a few pretty items. The switch to the right of the closet door has a timer for the exhaust fan and a switch for the heater in the ceiling. There is outlet further to the right which is also controlled on the same switch box. I did this so I can control a lighted make up mirror and/or lamp from a flip of the switch. Here is the new Toto toilet. The space is 48" wide. It is located to the right of the shower. My carpenter did a great job with the wainscoting and the crown molding. Yep, I need art or something over the toilet. We intentionally do not have a separate water closet. You can not see the toilet as you enter the bedroom. This illustrates the view from the closet looking back to the vanity. Master vanity/I used 12 x 24 porcelain tile in the shower that is the same on the floor. The niche has matching tile, but I used a large piece of tile to have no grout lines in the back of the niche and in the box parts of the niche. I was really lucky to find the grab bars that don't look institutional. I did not carry the crown molding into the shower. With ten-foot ceilings, I am afraid it would be too hard for me to keep clean. The shower is about 40" wide. The shower water is simple. I can have the shower head or the handheld shower spray on or both can run at the same time. This view shows the shower side from the entrance of the bath room. In the ceiling you can get a peek of an exhaust fan that also contains a heater. Since I live in the south, I selected a heater at the shower entrance to throw off any chill instead of heating the floors. The wall color is white with a touch of gray with the trim color is BM Simply White. My husband and I are enjoying our new bathroom. I just need to find the finishing touches to complete it. I watched most of the OK dream sequence, and I'm not sure how it is unPC, but I might be missing something. Evidently friendly (non-sexual) affection is now not PC, and I hope this trend reverses itself. Americans are already cold and unfeeling to each other, and I was taught in 1969-1970 (through sensitivity sessions as well as psychotherapy) that physical affection is important. I think Italians today are still more affectionate than Americans and that Americans are still having to deal with the horrors brought in by the Puritans, who wanted religious freedom for themselves but not for anyone else. I would move to Italy if I could. We watched Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice last week-end, which was filmed partly at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur. I've also been watching Escape from Polygamy recently, and that is just scary, but all the episodes are very similar, and so I'm not watching it anymore. The Bye Bye Birdie reference reminds me of the Flubber movies. In 1955, my mother was taking Benzedrine that was prescribed by her doctor for weight loss, even when she was pregnant with my brother Mike. BTW, I also used to make stage costumes when I lived in San Francisco, for a couple of different (radical) theater groups.

I am happy with the color, I see no blue, pink, or green undertones against my warm trim after all of the popular Greige color swatches on Pinterest that I tried (over 14!). Oyster in my house is a nice evenly warm/cool off white. I appreciate the feedback!
