This is really good for entertaining because you can make it 2-3 days ahead & keep in the refrigerator: SLICES OF SIN (serves 10-12) 8 oz semisweet chocolate (use a good brand) 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee 2 sticks butter, (1/2 lb) 1 cup sugar 4 eggs, beaten 1 cup heavy cream Preheat oven to 350°. Line a glass loaf pan w/foil; butter the foil. In the top of a double boiler, melt the chocolate in the coffee. Add the butter & sugar, stirring until the butter is melted. Cool the mixture for 10 minutes. Beat in the eggs 1 at a time. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Bake until a crust forms on top, approximately 35-45 minutes. When cool enough to handle, set the loaf pan in enough cool water to come halfway up the pan. The dessert wil rise & fall as it cools. When cool, wrap the pan well & refrigerate for at least 2 days or up to 2 weeks. When ready to serve, beat the cream until stiff (can flavor with 2-3 tsp brandy, but I just used vanilla & a little sugar). Unmold the loaf & slice. Garnish w/cream.~~

I'll share a couple that I took last month... Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. Mustang's (Cathy) recipe this time. Ina Garten's Blueberry Crumb Cake. Lori316 sent me those lemon coolers in a cookie exchange a couple of years ago. Love, loved those big time! Lorijean...what flavor of cake mix for that ice cream recipe? I'll confess to eating cookie dough and cake batter while bakeing. I know for sure I would love that with the crushed malted milk balls added....probably without them too! Oh man!! David

Sauerkraut Balls 8 slices bacon ý cup finely chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minces -----we leave this out 1 can (16 oz.) sauerkraut drained ý cup mashed potatoes 1 Tablespoon parsley 1 ý cup finely crushed corn flakes 2 eggs beaten Oil Fry bacon in large skillet crisp, drain &n crumble. Pour off all but 2 T. fat. Add onions & garlic to fat in skillet. Cook & stir until onion is tender. Remove from heat, stir in bacon, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes & parsley. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto waxed paper lined baking sheet. Gently form ball shapes. Cover with waxed paper or plastic wrap, refrigerate until firm or overnight. Dip sauerkraut balls in eggs. Roll in crushed corn flakes. Heat oil to 375ð, fry until golden brown about ý minute. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot. Can be fried 24 hours in advance & reheat in 400ð oven about 10 minutes. We fry, cool, and freeze. This is my MIL's recipe for Sauerkraut Balls. We don't put the garlic in them. The Cheesy Bacon Chicken Tater Tot Bake is in the crockpot, smaller version, and with frozen hash browns instead of tater tots. The convenience store was out of tater tots. Note: My 3 quart crock pot is full to the top with only 2 chicken breasts, and not all of the cheese. We will be eating at 8:00! Oh well, I will be snacking in the mean time! Tami

You could make a strawberry rhubarb cake, with the amounts you have I'd make half a recipe and bake it in a square 8 inch pan. Strawberry Rhubarb Coffee Cake Filling: 3 c Sliced fresh or frozen rhubarb, 1 inch pieces 1 Qt. Fresh strawberries, mashed 2 tb Lemon juice 1 c Sugar 1/3 c Cornstarch Cake: 3 c All-purpose flour 1 c Sugar 1 ts Baking powder 1 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Salt 1 c Butter or margarine, cut into pieces 1 1/2 c Buttermilk 2 Eggs 1 ts Vanilla extract Topping: 1/4 c Butter or margarine 3/4 c All-purpose flour 3/4 c Filling: In a large saucepan combine rhubarb, strawberries and lemon juice. Cover and cook over medium heat about 5 minutes. Combine sugar and cornstarch; stir into saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened; remove from heat and set aside. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Beat buttermilk, eggs and vanilla; stir into crumb mixture. Spread half of the batter evenly into a greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking dish. Carefully spread filling on top. drop remaining batter by tablespoonfuls over filling. Topping: Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat; stir in flour and sugar until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over batter. Lay foil on lower rack to catch any juicy fruit spillovers. Bake at 350 degrees, for 40-45 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut into squares. Yield: 16-20 servings. Or use the fruit and make a topping for cheesecake, I did that a little while ago and everyone loved it, as long as everyone loves cheesecake. I'm at work, but I'll try to post the recipe tonight.
