Near Mammoth Lakes, CA at Devils Postpile.

Short vacation with DH: Palm Springs

Long vacation with someone else (DH isn't big into international travel): Japan

Jodi-

Any where in the Rocky Mountains. I LOVE Glacier National Park. Or any National Park in the Mountains will do. We also enjoy spending a week at a cabin resort fishing on a lake in Minnesota. NO city type vacations for me!

I'll go wherever the ship takes me :o)

Family, growing up, spent summer vacations in Fontana Village North Carolina.

I'm easily pleased, most any place can be made a favorite...I love Florida with my gal friend, the beach with DD and the grands, Ireland or a cruise with DH...Or just give me quiet time at the cabin...Heck, I can even sit on the back porch and consider it a vacation.....

1. Hawaii - If I lived closer I'd go once a year; it's an 11-hour flight from JFK. We usually stay in LA for two-three nights to break up the trip.

2. Disney World

3. Sandals Resorts (Jamaica WI)

I live near the sugar-sand beaches of Panama City Beach, Florida - for me, almost every day is beautiful and vacation-like! I prefer to say right at home - the most wonderful destination I know! I've been on lots of vacations in these United States - even before I moved here, Florida has always been my favorite vacation destination.

Las Vegas... my daughter and grandbabies are there, so I get to visit them... then can go out and play tourist. A great place to visit in the winter... get away from our cold and snow,,,,

For vacations where you want it to take a while to get there so you know you're really "away" -- Hawaii.

For vacations where you want to get there quickly because you're only taking a few days off -- Napa and Sonoma wine country.

1. Palm Springs
2. Disney World

Right now, Yellowstone National Park. I want to go back so bad. I'm thinking of driving back home next summer, and will have to go via Yellowstone. ( :

Disneyland
Ft. Bragg - the ocean!

In the USA, I like the Pacific Northwest. I would love to spend a month driving along the coast line.

Disney World! Love it! Hope I can afford to go again with my mom, we had the best time ever there in December. :o)

My condo, I love being home.

For sun and sand during the winter months, Barbados

For summer vacation I love to being at a cottage on a lake in Northern Ontario, Canada.

I agree with Kath, Yellowstone National Park! But definitely on a motorcycle. The journey there and back is awesome. Up, down and around the mountains and even right by the bison = a beautiful and exciting ride.

maryann, I once rode on a motorcycle to the back hills of GA. Amazing, the difference, riding in a car vs motorcycle. Beautiful new world on a bike.

Oh Glenda, wink wink, I have a picture of you on a motorcycle. :o)
I hope to ride East of here one of these days.

France, spending some time in Paris and some time elsewhere.

I also *love* Acadia National Park in Maine.

Montana. I love the laid back lifestyle. Vegas is too fast and populated for me. I love the mountains. I can drive in the mountains every day and never be bored.

Home,i don't like to leave my gardens, and am not much for traveling these days.Retired military nuf said!!

if i could get out, it would be west...

Nantucket or the Cape. Jersey shore..OC, in particular.

Stateside: Northern Arizona from Prescott to the Grand Canyon - so many happy times there.

The Pacific Northwest, where our children and DGS live.

Overseas: Israel and England

I love Florida, all parts esp. Key West. I also go to Cape May New Jersey all the time. Cruises are a great too but only to someplace warm.

Any kind of foreign travel for a long vacation. For short getaways, I love Cape Cod and Block Island with my friends.

Dh and I love Arizona to visit. Wouldn't want to live there. I gets too hot.

As far away from other people as possible. I love backpacking, especially in Wyomings Cloud Peak Wilderness Area. Also, the mountains of southwestern New Mexico offer many opportunities for solitude. If I have to be around people I enjoy getting off the beaten path and away from the tourist traps. Hawaii has beautiful, little used hiking trails with fascinating vegetation. Trieste, Italy, also.

Stargazzer,
You and I need to hook up and take a run down the west coast.
Always a dream of mine.

I love the Sierra Nevada mountains.....or the Cascades. But my favorite vacations are the ones I can spend with my grandkids.....glad they are moving back to NYC this summer.
