What's For Lunch?

I am really getting hungry. I am thinking something fairly quick. Maybe a hamburger, some pork and beans and whatever fruit I decide! Have been gone to some rummage sales this a.m. and I got two lace table cloths one new in package, 104 inches long the other really nice one too. Both were $.50 each. I also got a bargain on two leaf rakes and a shovel and a spade all for $4.00. Now to find someone to use them for me:) I went to K-mart and got their deal of buy a $50 dollar gift card and get an awards card for $10. I have to wait to activate it on Monday. I bought some Rubbermaid totes to store my fabric in and I have been going though some of my fabric. More rain today!

So, what's for lunch and what have you been up to?

I had one piece of bread with peanut butter and a glass of peach juice. But a coworker brought in cheesecake with strawberries this morning, so I had a sliver of that.

Today I've just been at work. Tonight I was supposed to go to St. Catharines for something, but I think DS will do it.

Tomorrow, I'm having cajun, so thinking about an egg salad sandwich or spinach salad, OUT!

OR clam chowder at Joe's Crab Shack! Yeah!

bk thanks, I well understand the traditional food culture. I was omnivorous until 2007, now I'm 46 years old (in june), the only regret I have is not having started earlier to be vegan. Change eating habits it is not so difficult, for me it was indeed an extraordinary experience. Ken, I prefer escargots alive and kicking, ...preferably not on my hostas hehehe ...anyway I don't use products to kill them. Gary assassin, you are a meat cutter? there are still people who eat meat? ;-) josy67, thanks for the compliments. My advice is to try the Honeybells, I'm sure you'll like it, my plantaginea was soft and very tasty. Jan and tj thanks, but for me all meats are inappropriate ;-)

My usual Boarshead Maple Glazed Chicken on Arnolds brand Whole Wheat Sandwich Thin. But I have homemade chicken noodle soup in the crock pot. DH is sick and I thought maybe soup would be good for him. Thinking I will put some French Rolls in the oven and make an apple, strawberry, grapes, and banana fruit salad to go with it.

I had a real breakfast this morning so I doubt I will eat lunch. I did just eat a Clementine though. Finally found them on sale at BiLo. We are having chicken and stuffing for dinner with some broccoli and once the dishwasher is done I will start the spice cake I am going to use in my Pumpkin Trifle. We have snow still and DH took the Jeep to work. My truck does not do well on ice so I am home for the day. We are planning our little shopping adventure for stocking stuffers on Monday. I am going to get settled and stitch for the day I think. Trish

Good old starchy, cheesy, tuna casserole. Even my DD who doesn't care for tuna or peas ate it for lunch today--amazing how a few years of cooking for yourself will change attitudes toward Mom's cooking. I made two last night, and we'll have it again tonight, with sliced tomatoes and yellow squash.

The chicken caesar salad I didn't get yesterday. Managed to remember the Parmesan cheese, but walked off and left my phone sitting on the table.

I made up a big skillet of scrambled eggs, w/green pepper, onion, and little dabs of honey ham. Topped it off with some provolone, english muffin, and o.j. Breakfast for lunch!!

my friend dropped me off a bk chicken sandwich but forgot the darned pickles!! oh well im thankful anyway. im not moving today lol i did enough yesterday.
