In Counter Soap Dispenser to Match Grohe Minta SuperSteel?

Hi everyone.

I have been reading this forum for a long time and I have gotten a ton of great information from the members here.

I thank you all.

I have selected the Grohe Minta faucet in SuperSteel finish. (It has already been purchased by my contractor.)

I need to get an in-counter soap dispenser with clean, modern lines, a low profile pump, a long enough spout to reach (about 3.5" from center of pump to tip of spout).

Grohe says the stainless steel with match the supersteel, but their soap dispensers are expensive and do not get great reviews (at least not on Amazon).

Anyone use another brand's stainless steel in the same sink install as something with the Grohe SuperSteel finish?

I am trying to find something which will match the SuperSteel.

Anyone have any helpful information to share?

Anyone with the Grohe soap dispensers that love them and think they are worth the money?

I want this over with, so I am willing to spend if the product is good.

I would love model numbers, if you have them handy, as this is only a dent in the work I have to do selecting things coming week.

I have been out of my house for 9 months and I really just want to go back home. :-(

I have a KWC primo soap dispenser next to my Grohe minta, the styles go well together. I have both in chrome, but the dispenser is available in ss as well, so you could try it -- but I'd make sure I was buying it from somewhere without a restocking fee just in case.
I have to second the vote to avoid a Grohe dispenser, I have one on my main sink installed at the same time as the KWC and it needs a lot of "help" pumpin (i.e. I have to manually pull it up before pushing it a second time) while the kwc works fine (same soap).

I looked at KWC Primo.

It is a bit taller than I would like, ideally, but it is good to have it on my list as a possibility.

Thanks for the info on avoiding the Grohe. It's easy to go with them because they say it will match, but certainly not worth the aggravation later on.

If anyone else has any info, please help.

Anyone with Grohe SuperSteel next to another brand stainless and can say if they match?

Also, anyone has a lower-profile modern looking dispenser they like? Shorter than 3", with a spout longer than 3" is heading in the right direction.

I, too, was horrified at the cost of the "matching" soap dispenser for my HansGrohe faucet. I also didn't even like the styling that much. I got one at Ikea that I love... and it was like $20 or something. Maybe even less.... my faucet is chrome and the dispenser is too. I worried about the chromes being a little different, but they look absolutely fine together. Plus, if this dispenser dies (I have had them fail from parts wearing out) I can just put another cheap Ikea one in, since I bought an extra. And- I shouldn't say, "cheap" because that implies it looks cheap. I'm very sensitive to "cheap-looking" hardware and honestly, it looks great. So, I don't know about SS finishes, but for chrome, no problem mixing, IMHO. Can you wait till you get your Eve and then take it around to showrooms and look at the SS finish of other brands you're considering mixing with it?

Gee. I hadn't heard that about Grohe soap dispensers. I have 1 in each bathroom and 1 in the kitchen, all work fine. The kitchen one was a replacement for the Blanco one that matched my sink and faucet. It has been in for almost 10 years. I have had a little problem with 1 bathroom "NeverMT" but the kitchen one has been great. The more you use it the better it works. Grohe has a lifetime warranty and they really mean it. Great customer service!

We haven't started the remodel yet, but the old faucet broke, so I was able to replace it with a Kohler Simplice pull down spray faucet. There were two extra holes underneath the metal coverplate thing (what is that called? is that an escutcheon?), so I added a soap dispenser with a Never MT. We are VERY pleased with the faucet and the soap dispenser. The dispenser was also a Kohler, and the angle of the spout sends the soap right to the middle of the sink -- great for easy cleaning. And I can't rave enough about Kohler's pulldown faucet and the button to change the spray.

One came with my Delta faucet and we liked it well enough but it suddenly stopped working after about 6 months of use. I emailed Delta and they sent a replacement even though I had long since lost the receipt, but I bought another from Amazon in the meantime and we liked it so much more. It was metal, which the the Delta one was not. It pushes much smoother also.
