If anyone is wondering about my progress...

I've kind of been in the doldrums due to sub-contractor scheduling conflicts, as in they have other jobs to finish first.

I waited about a week for the drywaller to float the ceiling and texture coat all new drywall, then I painted the kitchen ceiling, and painted, crown-molded, and base-boarded the dining room side of the wall that was moved 12''. Then electrician agreed to come out for a portion of his remaining work so I now have working outlets and switches for the dining room and family room, as well as some new lights in the family room (scope creep). This allowed me to install my T.V. and stereo equipment.

This Thursday and Friday, almost two weeks after the drywaller finished, the tile dude will finally install my backsplash. Then on the following Monday, the plumber and electrician will finish their work, and the appliances will be installed on Tuesday Dec 13. That will leave just a few minor details for me including planning Christmas dinner for DW's family.

Almost there!

Jon
