best Under counter Drawer Micro Oven?
Comments (6)I got a Sharp MW drawer on the suggestion of my cabinet maker (to avoid blocking the space over my counter) and I really like it. Mine's the 30" size, but it doesn't hold a Starbuck's Venti cup (so we pour ours into other mugs to reheat.) Also, if you are heating something like soup, if the bowl is filled almost to rim, it might slosh when you open the drawer. I like that it holds a 9x13 pan, and mostly I really like that the counter is open. For us, this MW was a very good choice. We've had it now about 15 months. It's kind of funny because alot of people don't know what it is until I tell them. But my guess is that MW drawers will become more common as people figure out how handy they are....See MoreDrawer Pull Size...what length pulls on doors and drawers?
Comments (10)I will second what pussuskattus suggested...although it is definitely more work/time, we found that it was very worthwhile to mock up the drawers and try out our handles that way. We ordered various sample sizes of our handles and DH cut some scrap wood planks in the lengths of our drawers. We then just placed the handles on each board and it was VERY quick and easy to determine which size to go with. It was surprising what we found...definitely some different outcomes than what we had thought before mocking up. There would be no need to cut wood, though...could easily just use posterboard or scrap cardboard from a shipping box. And the ribbon idea would be easy, too. Would save the step of buying the pulls if you don't know for sure yet what you want. Good idea for next time! Good luck with your search on the vintage pulls!...See MoreDifferent size knobs on drawers & drawers?
Comments (1)How large are your drawers? From what I understand, if your drawer is larger than 24" you can use two knobs, one on each side of the drawer. So, if you use two knobs, you should go with the smaller knob and then you could use the same knob on both drawers and doors. In my kitchen I used pulls on my lower drawers and doors and knobs on my upper cupboards. And on my refrigerator, I used larger pulls than on my cupboards. You have many options. However, to answer your question, I would use the same size knobs throughout....See MoreNew cabinets. Lots of drawers. Best drawer dividers?
Comments (11)I used a combination spring dividers, utensil "boxes", and and utensil trays. I have several types of utensil trays: One that came with my cabinets and was made to fit the entire width, but not the depth. An expandable one that I keep my gluten-free utensils, etc. A plastic one I had from my old Kitchen A "junk" drawer insert that I use for kitchen scissors, etc. - it's not used for junk! For the junk drawer, I use a set of "boxes" that are various sizes. And b/c we always post photos on the Kitchens Forum :-) (Just links to most of the pictures, though, b/c there are so many.) .
