Comments (7)Your black cat looks JUST like my B.C. (Bad Cat). And your Mr. Muscle Cat looks an awful lot like my sister's 22 pound behemoth cat Indy. I really love my cats! We're working on Noah's ark: father, mother, two kids, two cats, two parakeets, two goldfish. . . . Oh, yeah, and Speedie the snail, in with the fish. Gotta love having pets (especially now that the kids are old enough to start helping to do the dirty work taking care of them). Now the kids want a dog - perhaps next year, when we're feeling brave and/or slightly insane. Laurel...See Morenew: look out! named poppy robin
Comments (11)Okay, everybody: I've received several excellent suggestions to improve this and get more people involved. (I've never hosted a robin before...I needed the tips!) Here are some changes: #1: You don't have to send 1/4 tsp. I know poppy seeds are tiny, but some of these unique ones are hard to come by and 1/4 tsp. is quite a lot. So, just try to send 20 seeds per variety you send. I'll try to work it out so that the amount you send in per pack is the amount you get back, just so that more people can play and everything's fair. Send in 20 'Lauren's Grape' seeds, (for example) and get 20 seeds of something (hopefully!) you're looking for. #2: Please list what you HAVE to offer, so people feel more comfortable in joining. I agree that going in blind isn't such a great idea, lol! Here's what I have to add to this swap: Lauren's Grape Drama Queen Burnt Orange Carneum Coral Chiffon Cyclops Danish Flag Danebrog Giganteum Hens & Chicks Lavender Peony Pink Peony poppy Red Peony poppy Persian Blue Persian White India White Oriental 'Scarlet' Hungarian Breadseed Tasmanian poppy Turkish large Iceland poppy 'gartford giants' Iceland poppy 'red sails' Double spanish 'tangerine gem' p. atlanticum- soft orange p. atlanticum- 'moroccan poppy' CA poppy 'mother of pearl' CA poppy 'tequila sunrise' CA poppy 'mission bells' CA poppy 'white linen' CA poppy 'thai silk mix' CA poppy 'purple gleam' CA poppy 'mikado' CA poppy 'gold rush' p. rhoeas - red p. rhoeas- orange picotee p. rhoeas- shirley double mix I hope this makes everybody feel better! I've done TONS of individual trades, and I know this can be a GREAT robin! I've got these people interested for sure: msbernard pattygrow5...See MoreDuh! Why didn't I think of this sooner!?
Comments (39)I always take off my jewelry every night before bed, even my wedding band. I like to apply hand cream, and I just don't like sleeping in it. I used to just put it on my nightstand table, but after a few scary 'can't find my engagement ring' situations, I realized I needed a better solution. (Apparently my 5 year old DD already has a taste for bling. She was wearing it very proudly! lol) I found this little clamshell bowl at a local store for $3. I like that it is more like a bowl than a dish, so little eyes can't see shiny and sparkly things easily. And now I always know where my rings and watch are. Oh, and also visible in the photo. I use granite samples I've picked up during my kitchen remodel process as coasters....See MoreBathroom update-tween to college gal
Comments (2)Your post is so funny..."the slobs have gone back to school"... I'll never forget the phone call I received from my father when I was in college to come home and clean up my dam*ed room. We laugh about it now. I like your updates. They really freshen up the space....See Morempagmom (SW Ohio)
