I think Pull B works better with the cabinet latches, although I really like Pull A. The cup pull and latches seem more of the same era/style. The glass on the pull gives it a bit of an updated look

I like the lines of A but it has what I call "pocket catchers" (those ends that stick out). Not something I want in my kitchen.

I think B is way too contemporary to coordinate with the latches.

I like both! I ended up using mostly glass cup pulls, with a few bar pulls thrown in to keep the cup pulls from looking like dice spots on a couple of drawer banks. Here's a pic.

I LOVE selection A. Just by itself, selection B looks a little space-age to me with the glass and the round top, but I'm sure it'd look cool installed, since it would blend. Either are unique and good choices, I think. Any way to use one for the majority of your cabinets and one for something else?

Having just gone through this I believe the cup pulls go much better with the latches, but if you are in love with A go for it, it would look very nice too. However, I do have to say the glass cup pull is a little too modern for me and for what I think you are going for. I did the polished nickel latches and just regular polished nickel cup pulls. In the long run do what makes you happy. Trisha

It's unusual and I am not a cup pull fan.

It's totally subjective - but I don't like pull B at all. I love cup pulls, don't love how they look in glass. Bluekitobsessed's pulls work, I believe, as her kitchen has traditional elements and both types of pulls are glass. Also, hers appear to be frosted to me...the clear ones you posted appear clear so they just look like little silver rainbows.

I like pull A...but also believe you could find something that goes better with your latches.

Do these look any better together? I think the latch pull I posted earlier was in a satin finish, which made it look "off" next to the polished nickel pull.

I recognize that the latch is very, well, utilitarian looking while the pull is more elegant. Yet another clash of styles in my kitchen!! Does the polished nickel finish on both tie them together enough to pull it off, or do I need to find a different latch/knob/pull? I have my heart set on the utility latch because our built in glass cabinets from our old kitchen all had utility latches (although in a bronze finish). Then again, the drawers all had cup pulls. I could go with the gilmore cup pull from RH, but I do love this bar pull (lugarno from RH).

I like the two polished versions together. My problem with cup pulls, back in the day when I had them, was that I broke or hurt my nails on them. Now I have neither nails nor cup pulls, but I remember the pain.

I don't think the latch and pulls clash in style at all. They, of course, should have the same finish, but I don't think the latch is lacking in elegance.

My vote is A, especially after seeing your second picture posting with the similar finishes. I think it looks very crisp and sharp. I would worry about smudges on the inside of the clear glass cup pull that would be a PITA to clean :)

I also think the latch and pull look good together. My only issue with pulls like that is the fact that the part that sticks out is an open invitation to pocket catching and possible ripping. Otherwise I'd have a pull very much like that in my kitchen (love the hand space you get with this style).

One note: It's probably the pic but the latch looks to be more yellow in tone than the pull. Are they from different manufacturers?

i think they look great together. if you want a cup pull, i would go with a polished one instead of the glass one....

gglks said what I was thinking--do a polished cup pull if you want to go that route. I like the latches a lot.

pbrisjar,they are both from RH so the finishes should match. Thanks so much for the feedback, everyone. This latch and this pull were my original choices, but of course I had to doubt myself. Now my only reservation is as pbrisjar noted, the ends of the bar pull are an invitation to catch clothing. But I think form is going to win over function in this instance.

I love A and think it looks fabulous with the latch. Where did you find the pull?

worldmom, it's from RH. They have so many pulls I love. This one in particular I love for its proportions and substantial look. It's more handsome than pretty, you know?

I don't know what your cabinets look like, and that would influence the decision. The latches remind me of old victorian kitchens in houses I rented in college. Cup pulls go well with them, stylistically, but as others have said, I think solid metal rather than glass is a better fit.

To be honest, though I like pull A a lot, I don't see it going with those latches. It's more modern. But depending on the cabinet style, it might work well.

I agree the pull is more modern looking than the latch, but as there are other modern influences in the room (the very modern appliances and faucets, for example) I'm thinking the stylistic contrast thing might work. Anyway, I just went ahead and ordered them. It really feels good to have actually made a decision!

I like A much better, and not just aesthetically, but practically speaking, too. Yes, the ends of the pulls may catch a bit on clothing, but I have pulls with longer "ends" than that, and the catching issue is only occasional. I'd be much happier with the occasional snag on a pocket than the constant cleaning and dealing with glass cup pulls. I am ALWAYS opening a drawer with one finger, trying to avoid getting flour or butter or whatever on things, and that would be really hard with those glass cup pulls. And as I said, aside from the practical side of things, in that second photo, the latch and pull look great together in the same finish!

I say, go with A.. or something similar....I have some cup pulls on my original arts & crafts built-ins.. and while I wouldn't change them, I really don't find cup-style pulls that comfortable to use AND I think they are more difficult to clean. If you have worked in a kitchen full of cup-pulls and are comfortable with them -- then do whichever you'd like to look at every day. :-)

We're redoing our kitchen also, and let me tell you, A is the one that will rip so many of your pockets you'll want to scream! Or you'll just get caught on one of them when you're in a hurry. They're beautiful to look at but a PITA.
