I've had a Kohler for ten years. Not one problem. What goes wrong? There doesn't seem to be that many parts to post a problem. I'm curious as we are building a new home,and I was looking at a cheaper model instead of the expensive one.

I had one that came with the HD Delta faucet we purchased about 11 years ago. Worked great. Loved it. I plan on getting one in each of my sinks in new kitchen, but maybe not Hansgrohe to match faucets. I saw some cheaper ones on Faucetdirect.com that I liked better, would match, and were cheaper.

Perhaps they've improved over the years. It has been at least 10 years since I had one!

Ours just stopped bringing up soap. We'd pump and pump and nothing would appear, like it was empty. Very frustrating.

Thanks for the responses. I'm thinking of the Kohler Vinnata faucet, so a Kohler would be good.

Did you try cleaning out the tube - sounds like it just got clogged - there isn't much to go wrong with a soap dispenser.

You know, I can't remember. Probably. DH is reasonably intelligent and handy and did try to fix the darned thing. But, as I said, it's been a looong time!

Delta dispensers have always held up for me. (I think they're the ones at Home Depot.)

Sometimes a good cleaning will fix them. And more often, not.

Maybe they don't make them like they used to but mine lasted 25 years - it was a Kindred.

The installer said just be careful to use only clear dishsoap liquid. His opinion was that the dye in the colored ones (especially blue or green) was very corrosive and would quickly wreck it. Don't know if it's true but I did follow his advice and it lasted until I replaced the sink earlier this year.

Suggestion: mix the soap 1:1 with water. A thinner stream is easier to pump.

Don't buy a Hamat, they're cheaply made and leak all over. My replacement Mountain Plumbing dispenser is much sturdier and works great.

I have 2 KWC dispensers, 5+ years no problems. I use undiluted Dawn ultra.

I purchased a no-name, generic soap dispenser at Home Depot two faucets ago and the dispenser is still going strong. 8 years? Time flies. Could be longer.

I know I didn't pay a lot for it as money was pretty tight but my dislike for counter clutter was stronger.

I use Dawn (blue color) liquid in it with no problems.

The spout pulls out and it fills from the top. If I were more efficient, I would use a funnel during the refill process. But I don't. lol. The one thing though, you have to look under the sink to check the fill level on the bottle. Soap overfill is a mess to clean up.

I just looked on line and the one they have now comes with a long tube to use in a large bottle of dishwashing liquid. I guess it's like the Never MT.

I'm re-installing this dispenser in my reno.
