Any tricks to removing sago pups?
Comments (7)Okay, you all inspired me to try and remove a couple of pups from my big sago today. I placed the back of the shovel against the mother and then pushed down (had to work it). It was like I was tearing the plant up and there were juices. Once I removed the pup, it was actually two. The one I originally started with turned out to be the size of a small pineapple. The other one that was buried and came out with the first was a little larger than a big avacado. My question now, the larger one has part of its side shaved off. Did I kill it? My second question, my other sago has several small (avacado sized) pups on it. But the mother plant has started to sprout new fronds, so should I leave those pups attached until next year? Thanks for any advice....See MoreRemoving Satellite Dish from Roof
Comments (2)Mine is held on with 4 bolts that are screwed into the roof. I recently wanted it moved, but found that the plate that holds the dish to roof had been glued to the shingles too (the roofer did this when the roof was reshingled, not the original installer). So, in order to prevent tearing up the shingles, I had to put down a mounting new plate and leave the old plate up there. If you can just remove the four bolts that hold the plate, then you should be able to just fill the holes with a good quality silicone. If it is glued to the shingles like mine is, then leave it up there and just detach the dish/stem. The mounting plate is not all that noticeable by itself....See MoreWho to use to remove a satellite dish from the roof?
Comments (11)It's a rip-off quote, a hundred or two at most should pay for the work to be done by someone capable. It's not brain surgery to uninstall the equipment and plug the holes. klem, with your attitude, I can imagine tradesmen jack up their quotes so as not to have to deal with you. For me, word of mouth and Yelp ratings leads me to plumbers, electricians and all other types who provide great services at fair prices....See MoreHow to remove sticker?
Comments (12)after using goo gone and hating the smell, I tried PAM. tiny spray...wait a bit...scrape with fingernail, etc. I wipe off edges hard with paper towel. Repeat. Use a small towel with Dawn or any soap you'd use. Magic eraser can help too. Smooth/ buff....See Morelalithar
