Measure both the interior & exterior sizes and compare the interior size to the sinks exterior size. Your sink basin(s) will need to fit within the sink base's interior. The rim will sit on the cabinet walls. When I was shopping for a sink, my KD told me the sink should be no wider than the cabinet (exterior) width - 1/2" We also have a Ticor sink. It's the S405D. It's exterior width is 35-1/8" and we have it in a 36" sink base. Think about where your faucet and other fittings will be (soap/soap dispenser, airswitch, instant hot water and/or cold filtered water). Be sure you have enough room behind the sink you pick for everything you're planning on. (Note that faucets can be single-hole, 2-hole, or 3-hole) Be sure you can turn your faucet on & off when it's installed...the handle should have room to move freely to both turn it on/off and to adjust the temperature. The faucet style is really dependent on your kitchen style...modern, transitional, vintage, traditional, etc. In our case, our kitchen is Transitional w/leanings toward traditional and the Kohler Vinnata I picked goes very well. If you like modern, check out the Kohler Simplice. I seem to recall quite a few people here have it and really like it. I found the best price for my faucet at FaucetDirect.com. Dark corner... You have a huge window there. (I can't tell if that's an archway or a window the pic isn't great). But a fixture over the table is plenty. We have a 5-bulb fixture over ours - you can get as much light out of a hanging fixture as you need. I agree on no cans right there. Good point about over by the fridge. What is the little 13" counter for to the right of the fridge? That seems like it'll be wasted space and dark. The 4" Cree are what - 575 lumens? 7 of those plus say 4 more bulbs over the table is 11x575 or approx 6325 lumens. Your kitchen is about 18x12-6x6, 180 sf. That's 35 lumens / sf, which is over the rule of thumb (30). Looks like your housings are about 3' apart. Hopefully someone who's used them can comment on if that is a good spacing for those... my instinct is two cans over each counter section like you have is good -- but I would do slightly larger cans, giving the option to bump up to higher output lights if needed. (a 5" can instead can take up to an 840-lumen LED light, which is a striking 46% more light)

I have my sink facing my dining room with a raised bar behind it. I too thought a tall faucet would look funny but the 12" faucet we ordered looks fine. We disigned our kitchen from one on TV and if you notice they too have a tall faucet (I believe it is taller than mine). http://www.hgtv.com/kitchens/candice-olsons-kitchen-design-ideas/pictures/page-7.html. The Grohe Alira faucet doesn't look like a tall faucet though. The Franke sink is beautiful. I think the two styles will go but it is hard to tell if the finishes will be an exact match. I will probably never look under the sink again. it was so hard for them to take the ugly one out, I'm pretty sure this one is good. They came back hours later because they forgot the grids of course. The installer a very large man demonstrated that it was not budging. Today my remodel will be complete and I will have a fabulous kitchen even though I rarely cook. lol Thanks again everyone!
