I am new here and I'm bumping debbie's post because I am about to purchase ge cafe line for our remodel and hope to learn about the cafe hood from someone who has one. I can't see one because no instore ge cafe display has the hood only the venting micro. BTW - Debbie what did you eventually get? I'm looking at the RA092 Kobe in 30" or 36". It is between cabinets and I have room for the 36" with 3/4" to the 15" deep cabinets. I think the 30" would fit better even with framed cabinets which give a bit more room for opening the door more than 90 degrees. This run will be 27" deep plus 1 1/2" overhang. Also for $$ and decision reasons BS is several years away so I plan to order a stainless steel panel at @$140 for now. So 30" range, 30" panel, and 30" hood is neat and tidy. Not sure this hood is deep enough at 20 1/2" but filters seem to be 15" deep from the wall. The controls and lights take up the front 5". In researching hoods this seems to be bang for the buck but I wonder if I am missing something.
