Earth is a color series for Corian. Do you know which one she picked?

Looks like there is an "Earth" series, and then an "Earth" color in the "Alloy" series. Maybe that's it.

I have seen it in a showroom. I liked it, but I heard the dark corian colors show a lot of scratches so that scared me away from them. I think it would look good with cream cabinets. I would say that it has a soapstone or honed granite appearance, but real soapstone owners may be appalled by that statement. :-)

I like it when I see it as a switchplate cover, but I can't see this as a countertop. merimom- what cabinets did they show it with?

I can't remember what type of cabinet I saw it with...It was a while back.

Attached is a pic of it with maple cabinets. I can't find a picture of it with cream cabinets. See how it kinda has the look of soapstone.

I saw this yesterday at a Home Depot display. We were considering it, but now that we've seen a slab, we don't think it would work well for us. We felt there were too many "swirls" for our contemporary kitchen (the samples didn't really show the swirls as much). However, it would be much more appropriate for a more traditional kitchen. The color is a deep, warm, almost-brown gray.

If I get back there, I'll take a photo, if you'd like (I'm usually there at least once a week, anyway).

Thanks catlike. I'll let SIL know about the swirls. Her kitchen is contemporary. Now she is uncertain as the family has not been liking the choice. She is going back to the drawing board. I don't think we need the picture now.
