I have a couple types of Foxglove growing in my hummingbird bed, including Digitalis purpurea and grandiflora. I love Foxglove and the hummers nectar at it sometimes, although it doesn't seem to be their favorite plants. The hummingbird's favorite 3 plants that I grow are - Monarda didyma (red bee balm) - Lobelia cardinalis - Yvonne's Salvia - which is a tall cultivar of Salvia splendens Also growing Ipomoea sloteri/Cardinal climber which is a very vigorous annual vine with red tubular flowers that will cover a trellis pretty quickly and the hummers love it. Other plants I'm growing this year that the hummers like are Salvia coccinea - 'Lady in Red' and 'Coral nymph'. They will sometimes nectar from other assorted flowers, like Cleome, Phlox, Buddleia, Dicentra, Columbine, Heucheras, Hosta, etc.

I got the rug from S & H rugs in New Jersey. I actually found it on e-bay. I had seen the exact same rug in a store on Magazine Street in New Orleans and it was priced at $3,000 +. I thought about returning it, but for a 9 x 12 it was a great great deal (about $1700) so I kept it. It's too late now anyway since I had a 10 day trial period and that has expired. Like I said I think when I get my wood floors it will really show up great. Yaya, I'd love a pic of yours if you have one! If worse comes to worse and I find a different one for my living room, I'll have a fantastic rug for my bedroom.

Ditto everything cookncarpenter said. I have a Wolf 36" with four burners and a griddle. I went through the same turmoil trying to decide if I would really use the griddle. I was talked into it by the Wolf showroom and our appliance store manager. It is a HOME RUN!!! We use it everyday and LOVE it. Makes the best eggs, bacon, omelets and most any breakfast food. But, we also cook most dinners on it like shrimp, fish, steaks,pork chops, stir fry veggies (turn out so awesome), lots of veggies on it . I rarely use the burners. Clean up is so easy and quick saving so much after dinner dishes, pots and pans to wash. As soon as the last thing comes off the griddle I turn it off, pour cold water on it and throw paper towels on top and do a quick scrub with a metal spatula pressing down on the paper towels. Then lift the paper towels to the trash with the spatula. All done and by the time we finish eating eat it is cool enough to apply a light coat of oil for seasoning and then it is covered with the metal cover that comes with it - until the next meal. On the rare occasion it it is a meal that sticks to the griddle I have used crushed ice water and that seems to take it all up. For us and our empty next - it is the perfect size. It will cook a ton of bacon/sausage, etc for company. I would never go back to being griddle-less.

Half of my tress are at my dads house in his sun room this winter. It's very sunny and warm, so I'm planning to continue fertilizing with foliage pro when watering. Osmocote plus too if they need it. They all have fruit, except one. They look happy. No signs of bugs or desease yet. They dry out quick over there. A good excuse for me to go over often and spend time with my dad who has come to LOVE eating calamondins out of hand. The other half of my trees are home with me in sunny windows. It doesn't get below 68F at night inside our home. It's well insulated. In the daytime I've been bringing them outside for more sunlight. When the nights are warm I just leave them out (like last few days it's been like spring). I need the exercise. I sometimes get a bee in the house however doing this. They are doing great. I'm going to continue fertilizing them this winter too. Broke a Calamondin limb off carrying one out, turned it into a cutting, will see if it roots. Last winter I didn't fertilize much at all. They looked hungry. This winter I'm going to try feeding them more. They look like they are liking it so far.
