andrelaplume2, hendricus is correct, the aerator eliminates splashing. If the screen becomes clogged/corroded, the aerator will not work and splashing will occur. You can clean by removing and soaking the aerator in CLR (Calcium, Lime & Rust remover). A good quality faucet will have ceramic cartridges. Kohler and Price Pfister both have ceramic cartridges. Kohler faucets come with a lifetime warrenty. Delta faucets usually come with plastic and rubber components which wear out faster. Take Care, Dan Martyn

IMHO good, functional aerators do a wonderful job even when turning on full-blast. Your considerations wouldn't be issues for me.

I think my faucet is the issue. I thought picking a faucet was the hardest thing because they weren't hooked up and who knew how they would perform? I worried a lot about reach since that was a problem with my old faucet/sink. That is NOT an issue with this faucet and sink. My old sink/faucet also sometimes splashed out the front and this one does not. The back is a better splash problem to have since it is all tile and countertop so I DID improve things. A faucet isn't a terrible issue to have. They are fairly easily replaced and they aren't that expensive, compared to all else.

I have two Karbons (one in cleanup sink and one on prep sink) and have been using them for about a year. I absolutely love them. I don't find them difficult at all to move into different positions. I really think they help avoid the deep sink, high faucet splash. HTH
