Anyone still have bisque appliances?

I need some thoughts from those (any?) who have remodeled around bisque appliances. Replacing ours doesn't make much sense financially, and they are only a few years old. We will have medium oak cabinets and an existing floor with med/light brown tones. The adjoining eating area (same cabinet color) has soft yellow painted walls. I'm debating the choices for counter and sink colors......the popular black/dark and stainless doesn't seem right. I've been leaning to neutral with a bit of color in the counter and a bisque sink. I also look at Silestone, but worry the busyness of the flecking with make a bad combo with the floor. Then I fell in love with Corian's Moss, and got all confused.

If anyone has bisque appliances, I would love to see/hear your counter, sink and floor choices.

I agree that stainless would not look right with your existing colors. Update to a new granite or quartz and it should look great! (Try a dark rich color)

Some friends just had their kitchen remodeled around bisque appliances. Similiar wall color, tiles and cabinets and they went with a stainless sink with brazilian topaz wilsonart counters.

"SS .. It's still 90% of the consumer grade market share. For the apartment grade appliances, black has become the new white." People I know with black, however, find it a pain because it is always smudgy and shows every bit of dust and water spots. Plenty are unhappy with stainless too. Maybe they will come out with more options. Dress up the white and bisque a bit. Or other colors. That turn up in the media. People will choose what they are exposed to in mags and told will sell their house, ie, what they should get. While they might get sold based on looks, after living with them people might change their mind next time around. I have bisque. I wish parts of the units were a little more stylish, why not, but it always looks fresh, clean and soothing and the color is pretty in my kitchen, which is on the casual side so it looks fine for what it is. I think bisque is the perfect applliance color for a creamy white kitchen but it is not popular right now as evidenced by the lack of this finish in appliances. If you choose to go with bisque your choices will be very limited. I don't think any of the appliances we were considering included bisque in their line-up. You could call a large on-line distributor like AJ Madion and ask them what brands offer bisque. If you find there is nothing available go with what you like most in the available finishes and plan on changing your fridge when it's feasible.

I've been away from my laptop so haven't answered. Sorry! I don't have any other kitchen pics but will take some this week and share the details. As mentioned the kitchen was done a bit over 8-years ago but, for the most part, I still love it. I'll post the details with the pics. They do look white"ish" in the above pictures. I'll try to get a shot with a pure white next to them. The kitchen shown above is so pretty and I think the stainless looks great. I've nothing against stainless except the fingerprints :) As for the counter top (mine is Corian in Terra) I like granite but am clumsy and granite is hard. I'll only be in this house for about another year and am so glad I found GW before I start on my next house (hopefully building).

I don't but I thought that I'd just say that I've always thought it was a much more graceful and warm color than white. I always choose it over white when I have the opportunity. In fact, I had my off white pantry cabinets wiped with a glaze to take the "hard" off of them and move then toward a bisque color. And I am sooooooo over stainless!

Sounds like a nice match with the woody and earthy tones you're using. You could be at the vanguard of a trend! ;>

I have them and love them. Used to have a black range and now when I look at old pix, it looks like I had a big square black hole in the middle of my kitchen! Bisque looks so much better with my cabs.

les, first of all, i actually prefer bisque to any other appliance color....all the newer, funky primary color ones are fantastic (but i think they would irk me at some point.) and it makes no sense to me to get rid of appliances that are only a couple of years old. i'll be keeping my dw for that reason and getting new bisque fridge and stove to replace my old bisque. might sound boring to some, but it's not so bad being in the minority. stainless looks great in many kitchens i've seen here, but it's not for me.

the corian/dupont site has some cool tools for deciding on countertops....i'm so dreading that decision....way way too hard for me. good luck!

In our new house, we have
--bisque oven, DW, MW, and fridge.
--SS sinks, cooktop, and warming drawer.
--pale green granite counter tops on medium cherry cabinets.
--creamy, light colored cork floors.

No bisque appliances here; I'm keeping my old WHITE ones in the new house. But, FWIW, I decided on bisque ceramic tiles for the kitchen backsplash. I think the secret is the entire blend of colors. You can make anything as neutral as bisque work with some other color you'll like. It's a great blender. Just decide how much contrast you like first, and go from there.
