Grey ??? Do you mean the paint on the cabs ? No mine has not turned...grey or yellow :) I have oil based white painted cabs , used BM paint. I wipe them down with a soapy dishcloth whenever...mine are 6 yrs old now.

I have posted a lot of "used kitchen " pics LOL. Do you want a closeup of the cab fronts ? I will do it when the day has started. I will be doing a lot of baking so will get a pic for you. Glad to show whatever will help you make a decision.

My MIL did white cabinets with glass front uppers about 20 (?) years ago. This is a tiny* kitchen that is currently being used by a family that uses a lot of lard in their cooking and there is no vent hood, just a small window nearby. Those cabinets are still a lovely white.

*Tiny means that when you open the oven door you need to put you backside against the counter behind you and the oven door lowers to about 3 inches in front of your knees.

I have had many white kitchens, and none ever turned gray. However, I have been in old house with old white paint that was probably oil based on trim, and it has sometimes had a yellowish cast. We're talking ancient paint with old technology, lead, etc., so I'm not sure how relevant that experience is.

I've had my white cabs since 1997. They haven't turned gray, but my white appliances turned yellow (atleast the panels on them).

Can't comment on white kithens, but white walls can defintely look gray, especially in the late afternoon. My mom had white walls in her kitchen (with medium wood cabinets and faux dark gray/black granite countertops). She painted the walls a lovely leaf green (not chartreuse, but a soft leaf green) and the walls look so much better! It also brings out the golden tones in the cabinets and the copper accents just pop :)
