Countertop color with induction cooktop - dark or light?

Hello again,

More decision help requested. I definitely have decision fatigue and appreciated the long post about being sick of reno!

My small galley kitchen with Southern light only will have ecocork (Roca) floors, unstained Cherry cabs. No uppers except open shelves.

I will have an induction cooktop in the center of the peninsula (which is ~80" long).

I'd love to use a Cambria's Torquay or one of Caesarstone's whites. But I suspect that a darker Caesarstone (Raven, pebble, rosemary?) might look better with the cooktop.

Also would like to soften the look as I will have slab doors and while I love modern style don't want edgy.

Thoughts??

Thanks folks!
