Anyone have any experience with Ruvati kitchen sink brand?
Comments (17)We bought the kitchen sink and faucet set. Now a year after installing we have a leaky hose near the pull-down sprayer. I removed the hose and took it to Lowe's (where we bought it last year) and Home Depot. Neither could find a replacement hose. I call around a few local plumbing supply stores and they recommended contacting Ruvati company in Texas to get the part number. I had to open a warranty ticket to find out they have no replacement hoses and they do not have any information on parts. Sink, faucets and accessories look good, but with the time I've sunk into trying to find a simple part, I wouldn't recommend anything of theirs. Stay with a company that sells replacement parts for what they sell....See MoreAnyone have experience with kitchen electrical costs?
Comments (17)Is this an electrician you have used before? If not, how did you find him? Does he come with the "package" - as far as your GC is concerned? We are lucky in that we have a great relationship with our electrician. He will be doing about double what you described (installing 1 new outlet for warming drawer, moving four outlets, removing a track light, adding 3 recessed lights, removing island chandelier, re-centering new one over an enlarged island) He will charge me roughly $1500. But as I said, we've worked with him for years. We are 30 minutes outside Chicago, so I think we are apples to apples, as far as regional comparison. Get two more estimates. Don't tell them what the first guy is charging you. Ask them up front what their hourly rate is. Get estimates in writing. Then go back to the first guy and ask him to match it. For that first part of your plan -- assuming his hourly is $100 -- that job doesn't take 8 hours. Even with a trip charge of $150 -- that's perposterous. Since your using existing lights - there's nothing to purchase. This just doesn't make sense to me....See MoreAnyone have experience with kitchen pendants with 7ft ceilings
Comments (2)This ceiling is 7', according to the write-up. I think if you go with a smaller scale shade you'll be happier.https://www.houzz.com/photos/barrington-residence-traditional-kitchen-providence-phvw-vp~2082770...See MoreAnyone have experience with sheer paint? (Medallion kitchen cabinets)
Comments (2)Coastal Collection is not a "Paint"...it just looks like paint. It's less money than Medallions Enamel Painted finishes (15% upcharge). The Coastal collection only has a 5% upcharge. The sheer shows very little, if any, wood grain. The dry brush coastal DOES show more wood grain. I have samples in my showroom. The Castlerock is a very light COOL gray. The Harbor Mist is a warm gray and darker. I like the Harbor Mist better! But I'm not a fan of cool grays. We have the Seagrass Sheer on Maple in our showroom (on the Walton door)...with a real paint on the upper cabinets (I think it's Irish creme on the Jackson door.) See pics below...seagrass sheer is a green painted look....See Moreteddas
