Anyone have experience with Blanco Silgranit kitchen sinks?
Comments (23)If you google silgranit sinks a list of sites will come up for you to check like faucetdirect.com, homeandstone.com, etc. I got my sink from faucetdirect.com and my ss sink grid from irawoods.com kaidan-Once I decided on my faucet (Kohler Forte) I went online to check the specs and the max. thickness was listed. My granite was the 3 cm/slightly more than 1 1/2" thick. Think the faucet specs stated 1 3/4" max. thickness ok so if you added in the extra thickness of the Diamond back lip might be over the 1 3/4" max. With some faucet models you can order an extender which would then work. HTH....See MoreAnyone have experience with Blanco Kitchen Sink?
Comments (2)I have had a black silgranit sink for 3 years and absolutely love it. To date, my destructive family has been unable to damage or stain the sink in any way. You will find much more information on this sink in the kitchen forum. I don't recall having seen a bad review....See MoreAnyone have any experience with Ruvati kitchen sink brand?
Comments (17)We bought the kitchen sink and faucet set. Now a year after installing we have a leaky hose near the pull-down sprayer. I removed the hose and took it to Lowe's (where we bought it last year) and Home Depot. Neither could find a replacement hose. I call around a few local plumbing supply stores and they recommended contacting Ruvati company in Texas to get the part number. I had to open a warranty ticket to find out they have no replacement hoses and they do not have any information on parts. Sink, faucets and accessories look good, but with the time I've sunk into trying to find a simple part, I wouldn't recommend anything of theirs. Stay with a company that sells replacement parts for what they sell....See MoreDoes anyone have experience with or advice on KitchenAid appliances?
Comments (8)I don't have one myself but my friend had the freestanding induction range by KA. She bought it 2 1/2 years ago, so don't know if there have been changes since. If there haven't been, I would stay away from it. She had nothing but problems that no-one could ever resolve. It was the oven, not the cooktop. She bakes a lot and every month or two, in the middle of baking , it would quit working. The breaker switch hadn't gone but by flipping the breaker off and on would get it going again. She had repairmen out 3 times replacing expensive boards (under warranty). They also came out and did diagnostics but didn't seem to be enlightened. She documented everything very carefully and the store owner told her she wasn't the only one with these KA problems. Even if they are willing to replace boards and you can flip a switch and get it back working, you don't always notice it has quit and she was getting annoyed with having to always check her oven and worry about ruining something in it. She wanted them to take it away and replace with a different brand since in the end KA or Whirlpool who makes them admitted they had a problem and had not figured out how to resolve it yet. She went nearly a year before they finally agreed to let the appliance store give her money back towards the purchase of a different range. She got a Samsung instead and is very happy. Says she even thinks the quality is better than the KA. I don't want to bash KA if they have found the flaw and dealt with it, but I would check it out very carefully. I have a GE Profile slide in induction range for 2 years now and am very happy with it....See Moremagner69
