Blanco Silgranit drop in Kitchen sink but undermounted
Comments (5)I wish I knew how to post the pics. I was unsure about the undermount, until the Cambria installer came to make the template, he had a glack silgranit sink in his truck, after looking at it in the sunlight, I was hooked, this is a beautiful sink. But very worrisome and iffy on the undermount install. He told me he had never had one complaint on the many had had done. After two days of back and forth on my part, he said "just do it, you will love it". So, I did it. And I have not regretted it, it is beautiful. Wish I was not such a dummy when it comes to uploading the pics....See MoreDoes anyone have a Blanco Diamond Single Bowl Silgranit sink?
Comments (4)Baquinn, I have a different Blanco sink, but it was large too. I have the equal double bowl undermount Performa (33 by 20 and 10 inches deep). Fortunately, my GC caught the specs and so we were able to ammend the plans prior to fabrication of the cabinet and counter. We did pull the sink base cabinet forward. Initially this was supposed to be a straight counter edge, but you can see the curve we put in to accommodate the sink. I am happy we did. I really like my big sinks. The larger sinks are another favorite thing about my renovation. I hand wash a lot of items, so this sink has made the job so much easier. On another note, everybody's renovations have their fair share of setbacks and frustrations. It's never smooth sailing. It's definitely a process and it will be complete one day and you will really enjoy it! If a large sink is a priority for you, don't settle on a smaller one just for time. There will be more than one hiccup and you want to have the kitchen you really want because you are the one who will be living with whatever decisions you come to. Hang in there!...See MoreAnyone have experience with Blanco Kitchen Sink?
Comments (2)I have had a black silgranit sink for 3 years and absolutely love it. To date, my destructive family has been unable to damage or stain the sink in any way. You will find much more information on this sink in the kitchen forum. I don't recall having seen a bad review....See MoreAnyone With Grey Blanco Silgranit Sink?
Comments (7)Hi Trudymom, Seems the black is the most popular, but I got the grey for that it was a perfect match to my countertop. (I would love to show you a picture, but it isn't installed yet). I was skeptical about the Blanco Silgranit, especially about a lighter color like grey; until I saw so many rave reviews about them, here. I went through all the threads and there are few people that went with the grey and have posted pictures (that is what helped me decide). I will try to dig those up for you. But you can also do a search on blanco silgranit and you might run into them. Now about the scratching and coloring issue, if you are worried I would suggest getting a sink grid (that is what I did). Although most reviews seem to indicate that even the white and lighter colors are quite stain and scratch resistant. HTH...See Morefriedajune
