I see roses. Lots of roses. If it was for me I would widen the sidewalk; plant cottage style flowerbeds up near the house and leave the lawn for down by the sidewalk. Things like Garden Phlox, Shasta Daisies, Crocosmia, Hydrangea... I also like a 'Hollywood' Juniper or two at the corners up near the house but they do better out on the coast. I'm not sure how well they would do in W-S. I like Crape-myrtle's but I would only do one if it is a large one. To me the purple ones bloom for the shortest period the pink ones bloom longer and there is one white one that will bloom very late around here. New ones get developed every year so cultivar names are unimportant. Another cool look for that house color would be one of the purple leaved Mimosa's (I know, a mimosa! shame on me but I like them). Since I garden in the deep shade when I see full sun exposure I want to fill it with perennials and annuals that bloom all summer, others may want a shade tree.

Your granite is wonderful - and it should go with almost anything you would want to pick, from cottage to traditional to very contemporary. Personally I am not a fan of vessel sinks so I would recommend a white undermount. Depending on the overall design, probably a chrome or stainless type of hardware. I would swap the location of the pantry near the sliding door and the fridge. It is nice to have the fridge closer to the eating area. Also if you can bring the microwave closer to the fridge would be good as most food travels from fridge to the microwave. Similarly, utensils, places, bowls, glasses should be close to the microwave and the dishwasher. So maybe you can keep it in drawers close to the dishwasher towards the end of the counter. That will keep it close enough to the microwave and the family can set the table without getting in the way of the cook. Trash should ideally go near the prep sink as ,ost trash is generated during prep. Or maybe even do 2 trash loacation. I would nudge the induction cooktop further down so that you can pivot and reach the cleanup sink. I like the prep sink but you want to have a landing space for the fridge and he microwave before the prep sink. If you plan filtered water etc.., I would do it at the prep sink. I guess the man thing is to look at the traffic flow patterns. What is the aisle space between the 2 counters? I would recommend at leat 5 ft as it is a through traffic area with the barndoor at one end the sliding doors and the access to family room at the other.

Circuspeanut - Thank you for putting that together! And Thank you for adding in the Cambria and subway tile! Now I get to see it all together. I think my husband would like darker countertops than the Torquay. We've had black counters in the past and they look great ... when they are clean and fingerprint-free. So I guess my goal was to go lighter. I have always liked white kitchens but my husband doesn't want white cabinets. Regarding the chandelier, I don't want it all fancy, maybe made of iron or something.
