Cynic has given you good reliable information. All I can add to his post is to first check in your area what your service people carry for parts, and if they work on the LG/Samsung brands. I work on all FL'r machines, and they are all great, especailly the American Made FL'rs. The reason I say Especailly American Made is that I can get my parts for them in two days or less, and that is MOST parts. Now getting parts for out of country manufacturers is a intersting area that you should be concerned with. LG/Samsung are AT THIS TIME hard to get parts, they are cheaper than North American parts, but these units are as reliable as North American ones. Just getting the parts etc in a resonable time frame is the issues. brenton

Hehe! This is my ventilation problem--it's kind of related to the open kitchen (pre-movein shot): The downdraft isn't ducted so I don't use it. Okay, I used it when I was boiling habaneros for jelly because my baby was getting asthma. That bit of remaining wall is only there because there is a chimney on the other side. SInce the POs didn't pull a permit to remove the walls, I'm thankful for the chimney. I forgot to add dishwasher drawers! I had one of the first FP DW drawers way back. Awesome. After I moved I replaced a poorly functioning DW with another which went through my remodel with me. Moved and luckily had no excuse to not replace the existing DW with another DW drawer after using it a month. Hate the big doored dishwashers! Ergonomic features aside, we apparently SLOP when loading the dishwasher so we make a mess loading a regular DW. I don't care if half my dishes come out dirty (they don't), Miele can kiss my rear if they don't have a drawer option. And did I forget to say I miss my instant hot dispenser a bunch? I have to use one of those electric kettle things to heat water for my coffee press. And I don't even bother with tea anymore. As far as dish soap dispensers, I've always had them. They're great. But as cluttered as my kitchen always is and always will be, it doesn't make a bit of difference if there's a bottle of dish soap on the counter instead of a little spout. We knew we'd have to remodel the kitchen in the "new" place, or put it in an addition we sort of intend to do, but it IS good to try out different kitchens first.

I love this backsplash but you know the designers rarely answer questions on Houzz. Anyone have any idea on this brand of tile? I would love this is a larger format for a kitchen backsplash.
