OT: (sort of) How do I post Picasa pictures?

I used to be able to embed pictures in a posting by going to my Picasa web album that contained the picture, selecting the picture, and then in the right column, there was a drop down menu to select the size.

Then I could copy & paste the code into my posting.

The right hand column is gone, and I can't find the menu anywhere. Is there another way to do this easily?

Or is this because I switched to Chrome? If I go back to Firefox will I see the old format?

It must be the Chrome. I am still using FF, and it shows up with the link on the right.

First upload pics to a photo-hosting site like Flickr, Picasa, Photobucket, etc. while viewing the pic there, you will find a path to the HTML CODE for that picture. The path usually starts with the link, "Share." Once you locate the code, copy and then paste into your message. Can paste code for multiple pictures. Watch that you do not accidentally get the code for thumbnails or small pictures. Once you paste the code, you will see picture(s) in the message preview (to know if you got it right.)

I signed up with Photobucket. It's free. Upload my photos there. When I would like to post a photo, I copy the the tag under the pic then paste it in my message, preview it and you are set. Why don't you sign up there first then try posting the photos here? Or come back for more explanation. Try if it works. Have fun. :-)

I have my photos stored on Picasa web album, and here's how I upload my photos from Picasa to GW. 1 - I check that my albums are shared with "Limited, anyone with the link", if they're not Public; 2 - I open the photo that I want to upload; 3 - I look on the right side of the photo to locate "Link to this photo" and click on that; 4 - I high-light the codes in the box under "Embed image", then copy the codes; 5 - I return to my post on GW and paste the copied codes. I always got my photos appeared in my post on here. Hope that helps. By the way, I'd like to share photo of my two bulbs recently received from Royal colors. Xuan

HighlanderNorth First you must choose where to store your photos..I suggest either Picasa, which I personally use, or Photo-bucket which seems to be the most popular. I have both but find dealing with Picasa easier. Also in Picasa you can very easily add text to your picture which comes in handy. Both Picasa and Photo bucket are free, just have to download them onto your computer. The thing I like about Picasa is that once I've downloaded my pictures to my Windows Live Photo Gallery, they automatically go to Picasa..you don't have to download them there directly. So, once you have chosen your picture storage website (there are others too) tell us and then some-one of us who uses the same will try to direct you as easily as possible to learn to post pictures. I remember on the Hydrangea forum, I tried to help someone learn to post pictures and I did give a rather lengthy tutorial on the procedure. Okay, just in case anybody reads this thread again, it turns out that it's a Google+ issue. If I'm logged into regular Google, it works fine. Has nothing to do with the browser. Now to figure out how to keep it in Google without automatically switching me to Google+ when I don't want it to.
