crackle subways in a soft green?

Anyone know of a company that makes crackle subways in a soft green that doesn't cost the earth? (Ann Sacks devotees need not reply.) I found a Subway Ceramics celadon on Historic Houseparts. Exactly what I'm looking for, but not loving the $18.75 per square foot price. Anyone buy it cheaper elsewhere? Has anyone used Adex Jade or Hampton Series celery? The color names say green, but the pictures online look gray. I'm trying to limit sample-buying as well. I saw Listelli by Grazia in Laguna, but I'm thinking Italian imported tile is going to send the price northward. (I also looked at Emser Cristallo Willow Green -- possible-- about $16.00 psf.) I feel like I've Googled my eyeballs out, but I know that if the answer is out there, someone on GardenWeb's got it!

I know this isn't helpful, but no. And I've looked. Will be interested to see if anyone has anything...

I used Jeffrey Court crackle subway tiles but I believe their green is more of a gray/green. I did see another brand in the showroom, but can't remember the name. BTW: I paid about $14 a tile for mine and that was my tile setter's cost.

Thank you all for your feedback. I've been busy with out of town visitors and haven't had a chance to respond. It looks like the majority of you voted for crackle tiles! So, crackled it is! Igloo, your tiles are to die for. They kinda remind me caramel...yummy! I will make sure to have the tiles sealed before and after grouting. Thanks for the advice. Sue - the tile choices are crackle tiles by Sonoma Tile Makers and non-crackle tiles by Waterworks. Can't remember the name of the colors off hand, but they looked really similar. lesmis - I will pick the crackle tiles so that you can vicariously live through me! Plus, the crackle tiles are cheaper, so it's a win-win situation! pluckymama - I tried to take pix, but it was really hard to get the texture of the tiles to show. What a disappointment! Where did you buy your sage green subway tile?

We are putting in a pale green subway tile from Sonoma Tilemakers; ours is the Star line in color Trellis Green. I'm not positive you'd call it sage green; it's more what I'd call celadon but it is a grayish green. And Sonoma makes various other greens, both in matte, shiny and crackle. The Star line is their low end at about $11/sf (shipped from California to Texas) and the other lines are a bit more expensive. Our backsplash should be in within a few weeks. I can post pictures then if you'd like (we're using an accent band of Sonoma Tantrum tiles in color Tazo in 1x2 tiles). Here is a link that might be useful: Sonoma Tilemakers

Try looking at Rixi tile. I have the crackle subway in crema, and I think they also make a green.

Do check out the Grazia tiles price -- I have the Rixi too and the subways were $11/sq foot -- not cheap, but not Ann Sachs' neighborhood either. -- Amy

I've seen the Grazia Rixi and would have gone that route, but the yellow wasn't right. And don't dismiss Ann Sacks (that is the Grazia Rixi is in the ballpark). The AS Cappricio is a really nice 3X6 subway (not crackle finish though) with soft rounded edges and a handmade look....for $12 a square foot. It's what I've ended up with.

Any updates? Did you use the Grazia Listelli in Laguna? We are about to buy it for our remodel and would love to see pictures if you did!
