I purchased the lights through AD Cola in Natick, MA. (website www.adcola.com). ; They ordered them and had them drop shipped directly to me at a bit of additional cost, but we were under the wire and needed them quickly. Hudson Valley Edison collection in old bronze (semi-flush mount)- Adjustable Monopoint Pendant by Hudson Valley. I did order different glass shades. The semi flush mount over sink is 18-OB-R08, the pendants are 9341-OB the glass shades are GS-00560-CR. From the wall the stove is on to the china hutch wall is 20ft from the kitchen sink wall to the basement stair wall is 12 1/2 feet. Did you click on the above photo's? It will take you to a link with all the different photo's of the kitchen. There is an outlet right across from the fridge. Hey Tia :) You're welcome to email me if you want to chat about the doors. I don't mind at all... We didn't come up with any permanent fix for the doors, and I'm not convinced there is a solution. I got heavy curtains that help to insulate, but the bottoms of the doors are still drafty. I don't think a 3 panel would be much better as our draft is from the bottom. (I actually wrapped insulation in plastic and wedged that at the base of the door outside. That was the only temporary fix I could come up with. It is in a covered area and we can't see it from inside. However, this is not a convenient thing to have to do!! I was just trying to improvise for this winter. THAT helped a lot, but obviously is a bit tacky and obnoxious since these doors weren't cheap!) As for using the doors this season, we have not yet. It's still a bit brisk and windy here. We did use them in the fall when we moved in, though. Do you have a question about their use? They definitely "bring the outside in." Other positives we have experienced from them: *lots of light *a wonderful view of the yard *a big opening if we want to move furniture in conveniently *an easy way to air out the house if we paint, burn something or similar :) yellowdog--- thanks! good luck with your hubby :) I had to twist DH's arm quite a bit for our white kitchen...

Wow what a beautiful kitchen! I love the granite, the hood, and the windows flanking the stovetop. Can you explain how you got such a great deal on the hood? I'm so glad I stumbled across this post because I'm looking to use the exact same Aspen light from Circa Lighting for our master bedroom! We're going for a craftsman feel and the iron finish would work well with the iron handles on our dresser. My only concern is that there is no diffuser on the bottom which might might be too bright when we're laying in bed. The light isn't over the bed but centered off the end of the of the bed a few feet away. What is the wattage of the lights you have in there for those pictures? Do you think that fixture would work well in a bedroom?

To answer a few questions: The Island Lights are Aspen Iron Ceiling Lights from Circalighting.com The kitchen table shade was from onekingslane.com and I had it wired The banquette was custom made by a local restaurant banquette manufacturer here in Los Angeles. www.customqualitybooths.com. I had a picture that we used as inspiration and my intention was to have white or brown faux grain leather. Once the cabinets were up, I realized I would never get the right white to match. If I went with a brown banquette, I would have had to get a white table, which I didn't want. I'm waiting for a quote from my cabinet maker to make me a kitchen table. It will be a pedestal base with a racetrack oval top in rift oak, espresso stained. The floors are actually 2" red oak but you can't see the red because of the stain.
