Has a solution been described to you or just the problem?

I think they may need to pay your fabricator to re-do if that is what is needed. The kitchen needs to be functional. I'd also make sure IKEA knows fully the issue if QWR does not quickly do the right thing.

We had the IKEA recommended installers (not the same company as yours) and had an issue with them. They did fix it in the end (after they had been paid in full before we found the error), but not until we waited quite a while. My guess would be they don't want to bite IKEA's hand... so they will step up after all is said and done.

How could fabricator adjust marble so they could move a bank of cabinets over? Wouldn't there be a gap on one side of range?

Of course we have already paid them in full as well. They are supposed to talk to their headquarters and then let us know.

What should we take as a resolution?

Would it be good to have them nick the corners of the drawers (like give them a rounded edge where they are catching on the range), and then refund us some of the install? I can't even think of another resolution other than replacing our cabinet faces with the wood version of the Adel so they can cut them and then paint them all white. That doesn't seem to practical though.

I'd put pressure on THEM to come up with a few resolutions and then decide which one(s) you can live with. So sorry you are going through this!

Got a picture to post to show the real problem? It should be easy to shave a little off the drawer front and edge band it. If the range can slide in, the drawer front should not overlap that much if at all.

I'm not really familiar with how Ikea arranges installs. Was there a layout to work from? Did the layout show space left between the drawer bank and the range, maybe a filler piece? Was the space left for the stove a full 30" or 36" or whatever it was supposed to be? Did you make the layout? Did they? It's unclear to me whose fault this error is. If the installer didn't follow a plan that showed a spacer or extra empty space, then the error is theirs. If Ikea drew plans for you with this error in them, then it's their fault. If you drew the plan (using their software?) and failed to follow some direction to leave a space, then it's your fault.

Frameless cabinets have very narrow tolerances. I just looked at our drawer banks next to the space we've left for the stove, and there is about 1/8" between the edge of the drawer and the edge of the cabinet holding the drawers. This should be enough to keep the drawer from hitting the adjacent stove. (Our cabs are frameless, but not Ikea.) When we installed the peninsula we almost forgot to bump the first bank of drawers out 3/4" from the wall so the opening drawers would clear the door frame molding. Had an installer done that (vs. us), he would have been following our plans, but I would hope he'd have noticed. Lucky for us our son wanted to see what the drawers looked like installed while we were still working on dry fit.

If the installer is truly responsible for this error, then they need to make it right, but are you sure the error is theirs? I'm so sorry this happened to you regardless of where the fault lies.

Sorry for your stress. Most ranges (and appliances for that matter) have clearance specs, some VERY specific. Mine stated it required 1" between any door/drawer opening and the range. For frameless cabs this was a really important design parameter.
If someone ordered for you (ie: a designer?), and you said you gave them the specs (not just the model numbers, but the actual install specs?) I would think they're responsible, although if it was a critical measurement like mine I would have double-checked.

Rebuild the wall to create a recess for the range.

If, as Co-Co suggests, the problem is the specific range, maybe you could get a different range that doesn't encroach on the drawer space. That's the simplest solution so far.

For those of us in the planning stage - what range is it? So we don't face the same issue.

It wouldn't happen to be that Electrolux range with the flared top, would it? That one can be a headache.

Ikea/QWR designed the whole kitchen, all they asked from me was a list of our appliances. I am hoping they read the specs, instead of just looking at the name of the range 30" Electrolux Induction Range...

I'm so sorry to hear about your problem, pinkgator. I write only to say that Ikea is not at fault here. From what I can tell, this problem lies squarely at the feet of the designer-installer, QWR. That distinction is important because QWR is an independent contractor -- not a sub of Ikea. Others might read the thread title and a few other comments you've made which suggest that Ikea is somehow responsible for having designed a flaw or erred on the installation. That would be a mistaken conclusion.

Please trust,btw, that I am not a shill for Ikea -- or any vendor or manufacturer, for that matter! Rather, I'm just a consumer who once had an Ikea kitchen installed by an "Ikea certified installer" (not QWR). They made some errors on the installation and I had them come back and fix them. Granted, nothing as serious as the problem you're having. Thank goodness! Still, in your case, it appears as if QWR is solely liable for the errors here. According to their website, there also appears to be an unconditional warranty on their workmanship for 30 days. As such, it seems like your next best step is to get onto problem resolution pronto with QWR. Good luck!

I have the same range and had installation issues too, although not with Ikea cabinets or installers. I had custom cabinets made and because every inch was very important to me, despite what the spec sheet said, we (the cabinet maker and I) decided that we could get away with 1/2 inch on each side instead of the full inch. Well, I could only get either the lazy susan cabinet door on one side of the range OR the spice pullout on the other to open (by shifting the range a tiny bit from one side to the other). My cabs are frameless, so full overlay.

IIRC, we ended up changing the 1/2 inch filler to one inch on one side, which threw the symmetry off by 1/2 inch. I did not make the installer put in 1/2 inch filler on the upper cabs for two reasons: 1. I thought it would look weird and 2. I was at least partially responsible for the error. So now, my upper cabinets are shifted 1/2 inch off from the base cabs, but it's really hard to tell.

My granite also needed fixing, but I had a strip along the back with two short seams. My granite guy graciously fixed it for free by making a slightly longer strip. The seams only have about 1.5 inches showing - they are barely visible and I think the strip of granite in the back is standard for slide-in ranges.
