I made a mistake, I think. I mixed MG into my veggie garden.

You can always add organic matter on top of your soil as a mulch that will slowly break down and feed the soil microbes. Aged compost and worm castings are always safe to add and won't burn your plants. I like to fertilize using things like used coffee grounds or other seed meals since they are slow release fertilizers. If I have some greedy plants that like lots of nitrogen and phosphorus, I give them a small hand full of alfalfa pellets. Be careful with the blood meal as it is really strong and a little goes a very long way. Enjoy....See Moreok...I made a planting mistake, should I redo or leave?
Comments (5)I agree with luis.....leave it alone. I am remembering sometime about 7 years ago, a hosta loving friend brought over to my house several "chunks" of Antioch in a 5 gallon plastic bucket sometime in early July. I was leaving town for 2 weeks the following day, for sure didn't have time to plant them....didn't even know what Antioch WAS....and tossed a bit of bark mulch into the bucket, added a little water and got on the big bird and flew away! When I returned, there was water in the bottom of that bucket, the bottom of the hosta roots were sitting in 2 inches of water, and the "cut edges, where the root ball had been sliced with the knife were all sprouting 2 inch long roots. I planted them and they BOUNCED out of the ground the following spring and have been moved and divided several times since. Water and TLC is better for hosta then digging and messing with the roots.....but even if you do they will survive....if the Voles don't get them! Comments (19)It's all fun and games until somebody loses their mind...then it's a remodel! ::grin:: Mine occured with a sudden obsession that the fridge would be too wide and the door would bump the breakfast bar. I was completely wrong. It was, however, too tall. Which I missed, because I was panicking horizontally and not vertically. (I'll never make THAT mistake again! Next time I will panic equally in all directions! HAH!) Even with that little mishap I love my kitchen. I completely understand your worry, but I hope it helps to know we have all been there, and you will live through it. Now is the time for the glass of wine/margarita/cup of sleepytime tea and a breather. DH has lost all voting rights due to a late ballot submission. Call your KD tomorrow and talk with him/her, then make a decision. Good luck, and keep us posted! Emmie...See MoreSoffit beams in new build - I think I/builder made a mistake
Comments (52)Still haven’t decided. This is what it looks like currently with paint and all trim. It is growing on me. I imagine once backsplash and flooring and pendant lights are in, I won’t notice it as much. But I don’t want to regret not having him fix it forever. Builder has offered to move soffit back to be flush with cabinets and we will put a piece of flat trim at cabinet and soffit joint. He did mention being concerned with the possibility of damaging cabinets in the process. He also said he would remove soffit altogether if we want. Again the only concern being the cabinets potentially being damaged. I have to decide soon....See Moreoldbat2be
