Whirlpool dishwasher soap dispenser won't open (sticks to soap)
Comments (5)I too had this problem with an expensive Kenmore Elite but I decided not to let it bother me. I fill one powder dispenser and leave it open and make sure I have the Jet Dry department always filled. I never observed a lack of top notch cleaning after that, but I did give it to Habitat for Humanity when I got the top of the line Thermador (made by Bosch). The Thermadors and Bosch's are far better than the Miele's at their price points and they are at least as quiet as the best Miele's, which cost $1K more. Comments (36)Can anyone recommend a dispenser with a LONG spout? The one we have now (Price Pfister) has an utterly useless 2" spout. I have found a 3 7/8" spout, also 3 1/2", but am wondering if there are any that are longer. The new sink is 10" deep. We weren't going to get a new soap dispenser, but after reading this thread, I thought, "I don't want ugly bottles on my new granite!" I could do a rack mounted on the sink cabinet door, but I think the dispenser is neater :-) It just needs a long spout so it can actually squirt dish soap into the pots, instead of dribbling down the side of the sink. Will definitely get a NeverMT--so glad that I heard of it here!...See MoreAll-purpose soap for soap dispenser
Comments (9)I recently quit using my favorite for dishes (Dawn). My hands are very dry and sensitive. I bought Ecos Ultra Hand Dishwashing at Costco. It came in a 2 pack --Natural Pear and Natural Grapefruit. The pear is a faint fragrance and does a decent job cleaning. It is easier on my hands. Haven't tried the grapefruit yet. The bottle says 100% all natural, petrochemical free, neutral PH, easy on hands, derived from coconut oil. Haven't tried it in the pump yet -- but will when the pump runs out of the current soap. Although it isn't quite as good as Dawn, I'll buy Ecos again. Thanks for starting this thread. I'll be watching to see what others use....See MoreHansgrohe Steel Optik matches what soap dispensers?
Comments (8)Based on this thread and some others, I purchased this LDR dispenser in SS to go with my Hansgrohe Talis C faucets in steel optik. I don't know if they changed the finish on either but the two are not even close to matching. My Hansgrohe has more of a warm/yellow tone, while the LDR is a more cool/gray tone. I find it quite noticeable and I know it will bother me. Any other suggestions for dispensers from other manufacturers that will go well with HG's steel optik finish? Maybe one of Moen's various SS finishes? My granite templating is scheduled really soon so I'm panicking that the pieces I ordered don't match! TIA. And, just a rant, why doesn't HG produce different dispensers styled to match their different facuets? The one dispenser that they currently carry (the others are being phased out) doesn't really go well with the Talis C at all. And that short spout! Here is a link that might be useful: Hansgrohe's only soap dispenser...See Morefavabeans5
