Natural Maple Cabinets + White Carrara Tops? Pls share pics!
Comments (4)This is a great picture of marble and maple. The others below are pretty but not all are honed and not all are natural or light stained maple. Hoping these can help your friend. A little darker than the natural maple but a pretty picture of wood and marble...See MoreCan anyone post pics of Super White granite and white cabinets?
Comments (10)Dark photo of super white on a white island right after counter installed in my kitchen. Don't give up on the super white. I looked at 5 different slabs before I found one that would work for us. It really varies from a med/dark gray to a swirly white & light gray. Eventually I started calling the fabricators and asking about their super white. If I got someone knowledgeable they would describe it and send a photo. Be very specific about what you want - I wanted it to have some white but nice contrast so the very gray and swirly white/light gray didn't work. The slab we found also has some areas that are almost peach (it is very light, just an accent tone in the background) that I loved with our red birch perimeter cabinets. The stone is called by many names - supreme white, white princess, white fantasy - but asking for white quartzite and sharing some of the names got me the stuff I wanted. Note - I still went to look at the slabs even if the photos were a little off - often they look lighter and whiter in person. Here is a link to the photos I collected on quartzite slabs in my area (Boston) so you can see how different they can be. http://s932.photobucket.com/albums/ad166/sparklekitty_kitchen/White%20Quartzite%20or%20Granite%20Slabs/ The last two are of the slab we purchased. Note that the 2nd photo was from the fabricator and it shows the slab darker than it is in person. I have also included a link to my recent posting with all the photos of the counter installed. Again the photos are dark, but I am very happy. The paint color is BM Dove Wing, but we also considered BM white dove. Comments (9)The whites are funny, in that they are always whiter than you think from the chip. If you want a brighter white look, go with the White Dove. Some beautiful bright white kitchens to check out are rmkitchen, redroze (BM Chantilly Lace as paint). If you are looking for a softer look, take a look at these kitchens: SW Creamy (sprice5105 just posted today) or BM Linen White (dlspellman just posted), SW Almond white (Jen4268 kitchen), BM Lancaster Whitewash (mamadadapaige has her cabinets this color). Good luck....See MoreBM cloud white cabinets with what counter?
Comments (4)Thank you Maureen, Susie and Patricia for the tips. The dark grey tiles from the mudroom are in view from the kitchen so we have to keep them in mind when we select the countertop. The hickory hardwood is variegated with grey, black and "red/orangey" tones. We looked at a countertop in a dark grey with white veins like the one you showed, Maureen. It goes with the mudroom tiles very well but it made the Cloud White bristol board sample seem a bit yellow. We were thinking of Noble Grey Caesarstone for the countertop as it looks a lot like marble and we want to have a classic cottage feel. It is a muted, creamy grey and the veining is more subtle than with some of the other countertops. We are just not sure if it would be enough of a contrast or the right contrast with Cloud White countertops and paint. I will post some photos when we have more of the construction done. Right now we are mostly working with samples....See Morebreezygirl
