No drawers near range, am I making a big mistake?

To recap, I got a display kitchen. There's a limited number of cabinets and I'm trying to figure out the best use for them. Although I have a general "plan", I'm trying to be a bit flexible on where things can go. The one thing I'm short on is smaller drawers. I only have 4 15" w x 7.5" h drawer fronts and 2 18" w x 7.5" h drawer fronts.

I was thinking of using these drawer fronts in upper cabinets that sit on the counter like this:

As of now I have a 12" with pull out shelves planned to the right of the range and a 15" trash pull out to the left. Where the drawer should be, I was planning to put in a paper towel niche like firsthouse mp's:

BUT, now I've realized that I don't have plans for actual drawers there. I'm a utensils-in-a-crock-next-to-the-stove kinda gal, so no need for drawer space for those, but what about pot holders? In my scenario, I suppose it could go in the pull out. Is this a mistake? Should I rework the puzzle to get drawers in there?

What do you think?
