Right off the bat, without thinking too hard, I like the Lourdes 8-bulb for the chandelier. I like its curves. I would suggest doing a different style pendant for the bar area but maybe echo the curves of the chandelier. Are you looking for black iron only?

Thanks annsch! I'm also open to glass, or something with a very open feel to it. Actually I am really open to anything. I will have SS sink and appliances, chrome faucet and was planning on similar for the knobs/pulls.

I love the chandelier on the far right pictured above. I have seen it in person and it's pretty and I love the shades. Just have to find some pendants to go with it : )

I like the 8-light Lourdes for over the dining table too. But I think doing the petite version over the bar might be too matchy-matchy. Has anyone seen pendants that might look good? I take it that you don't think the 2 small Edlridge would work because the lines are so differnt? I did like that they are very open.

I will try to post so other shots of various options together and some of my actual space.

hampton bay with 2 eldridge pendants[can they be had in ivory or white to match the little shades?]-make sure the height of final placement is adjustable. 2nd option would be Lourdes over table and no pendants but rather recessed cans.

Sorry about the poor lighting.

The cardboard structure on the left is a mock-up of my counter height bar. So you can see how close it is with the dining area. Also, the ceiling is vaulted in the dining/living room - if that makes a difference in the type/size of chandelier I can accomodate.

I'll post another picture with some of the options added in.

I think that is the best combination (the Lourdes and the Eldridge pendants). I do like the one with the shades as I first chose but it may be a little too contemporary for the space and table and I didn't like it with the pendants. The Lourdes and the Eldridge pendants seem to compliment each other without being too match-y and will look great in your pretty home.
