While we are on the subject, tell me about Organic Butter EVOO. Does it taste butter?

It has the flavor of butter with a barely discernible slight undertaste of mild EVOO.

Used in cooking as a substitute for butter, you wouldn't notice a difference in taste.

At the risk of saying too much, let me tell you that the combo of the Eureka Lemon EVOO plus the Violet Balsamic is to die for.
I like it on a mixed greens salad with feta cheese, chopped pecans and either raisins or dried cranberries.

The combo can also be drizzled over a simple pound cake to enhance the taste from simple to divine.

I have a blog for my shop. It's really just to keep our customers updated on items in the shop and our custom work. I've posted links to it before because we have some before and afters that have been helpful to people when trying to explain something like drapery hardware, etc.

We don't sell anything on it, like yours, so I just see it as a place to gather ideas or learn something new.

I have a blog called "From Mainstream to Green." It's about my efforts to shift our home and family to a greener, less toxic lifestyle. I talk about replacing household chemicals with concoctions I've made with safe ingredients, pest control, ending my love affair with hair color, lowering the cost of organic quality food, getting the family on board with recycling, etc.

If anyone's interested in those subjects I'd be happy to post the link. I don't have a store and the blog (sigh, like most of my endeavors!) isn't related to any moneymaking enterprise.

As a 'mostly lurker' I am a little embarrassed to add mine but I will be brave. It is garden and nature related with my own photos and has absolutely no advertising. I just do it as a way of justifying all the photos I am addicted to taking.

Mona, the oils sound wonderful. Olive oil is becoming quite a business down-under as well. There are a lot of boutique companies now making various products. Isn't it great that you can feel healthier using them and yet they are still so yummy?

Just got to Geri's blog and now I'm happy. Our house is on the market so I need an easy to clean up art project for my girls to do today. We're going to make those dahlias. Would even be cute to hang over their beds...especially since I've minimized their room.

And I have so many pinecones from super huge to super tiny....might just do one of those little projects too.

Monablair, this little guy has stolen our hearts, and depleted our savings account. My DH laughs and tells me I would NEVER have considered buying a horse that cost anywhere near what we have spent on him, but how could we not try to save him? My remodeling plans have been delayed, but when Tuff whinnies and runs in to meet me when I pull in the drive, I don't regret a moment or dollar spent on this boy.
Pamghatten, I am overdue on an update, and will try to get one done soon.... I have the blog linked to my class webpage and my students have been asking for an update too.

We broke ground today on our new build. I actually started a blog a long while back but only updated it intermittently with decorating inspirations, etc. I halted it altogether back in May because of time and frustration with us not moving forward. But I started back up today since we're starting our build now. Yay!!

I have/had one. Well, it's still there, but I haven't posted on it in about a year and a half. Too many other life challenges/changes kind of took over and I didn't have time or the energy for it anymore. I'll post the link in case anyone wants to take a peek. I still love looking at some blogs, though. Between Naps on the Porch is one of my favorites. Also, I like Designs By Gollum. That's Michael Lee West, the author, and she used to post here as Hollygolightly. Another good one is Southern Hospitality. That lovely lady posted here as Georgiagal, I believe.

Oh, and by the way, the house in my header is NOT my house. I so wish it was! All the other interior shots and backyard/back porch shots are of my actual house, though. Years ago, someone posted the picture of the house I used in my header, and I saved it as a "someday" dream house. I believe Flyingflower posted the pic originally.

monablair, you may want to sign up with google reader. It's helped me consolidate my blogs to where they're all on one feed and if one of them posts a new post, it shows up there automatically. It's so much easier than having to visit each and every one to check to see who has new posts.

Once you sign up, you put a little "subscribe" button in your toolbar and you hit it when you're on the blog you hit it and it subscribes the blog to your feed. You can do this to any blog you come across and it easily and quickly adds it to your feed.

I have so many blogs I subscribe to now that it'd be impossible to go in and check all of them each day. So let's say (for example), I subscribe to 125, I wake up in the morning, go to my reader and it shows a (52) in parentheses at the top which tells me that there are 52 new entries for the day and I can simply click on them one by one and view them in the window to the right. It's SOOOO convenient!

I am a long time lurker here, so much to learn from everyone. I have a blog, and yes it is "self serving". Isn't any hobby? And that's what my blog is to me.
