Carrington Court

How is the quality of the fabrics used on Carrington Court chairs? I am considering their parson's skirted chair and would appreciate hearing from anyone who is familiar with this company before purchasing six of them. Any recommendation on which fabric? Looking for a neutral color.

I've ordered many swatches of fabric from them and they were all very nice quality fabrics. Was very impressed with the customer service over the phone; if you have specific questions or concerns, call them. They also sent me samples of the nail head trims they offer. I think CC makes good products at reasonable prices too.

As far as neutrals go, again, I would suggest you go on the wesbite, check out the options, and order swatches. You need that fabric in your hot little hand and in the room the chairs will be. When I found a swatch I liked, I called back & told them it was too small, could they send me something larger? They sent me a huge sample that was really helpful. They will work with you!

I have four of the parsons chairs with gathered skirts. I ordered 4 or 5 fabric samples. Very pleased with the fabric and chair quality. They are very comfortable. I've had them about three years.

I'm going to order from Carrington Court too, but I'm a little concerned about the 20 inch seat height of the chairs. This is an inch or two higher than most other dining chairs I've seen. I know the chairs have springs in the seat, so I'm wondering how much of a "sink down" there is when sitting on the chair. I'm worried about this because my dining table has a small apron. The underside of the table is only 26.5 inches to floor and with the chairs at 20 inches high, I'm worried that there won't be enough room for peoples' legs to fit comfortably under the table. Can anyone who has the chairs comment on this? Thank you.

Sorry for my absence on my thread! I had a minor surgical procedure yesterday and... ouch! lol Breezygirl_ I agree picking fabric is difficult! I forced myself to stay within the books that only had hotel/restaurant grade fabric that would hold up to heavy use. That reduced my options enough to make it a LITTLE easier! kris_ma- I, too, was worried about the tufting with a small stripe, but the upholsterer claimed smaller stripes are easier to tuft than a larger stripe, as it's harder for the eye to follow a single stripe. justmakeit- LOL That made me smile. Thanks! Mizinformation- This shop does a lot of restaurant seating, so I used the dimensions of a restaurant booth I tried out. The table is 78" long, and the banquette is 75". I had 4 kids, teenagers to 9 years old comfortably at the table, 3 adults could be comfortable. The table overlaps the banquette by 4", fine for teenagers, but not for an obese individual. We can move the table in and out though. From the wall to the front of the seat is 26.5". The seat depth is 20.5". Seat height is 18" (but it's foam, so you do sink a little) and table height is 29.25" The back cushion is 6.5" thick and tapers to 3" at the top. The back is 21" high from the seat cushion. It basically falls within breezygirls guidelines. crgimum- The trestle table is cherry and comes from Hunt Country Furniture. We love it! oldbat2be- Yes! Chairs and stools are from Carrington Court. Very comfortable. We had to go a little shallower than we wanted for the island as there is a major thoroughfare behind them and we wanted them to tuck under the overhang as much as possible. The seat depth of the stools is 15". Fine for us average height folks, but don't think a 6 footer would be comfortable for long. deedles- Thanks for the poinsettia advice. lol Luckily for them I barely remember to water them! Very nice looking stools. About 16 or so years ago I purchased some very simple wood stools from Frontgate. My goal was that they last with two young (at the time) kids rather than look perfect in a design scheme. Out of the four, only one is a teeny, tiny bit off. A very, very large man, probably weighed near 350, sat on that stool. It's still very usable. I just notice it's a bit looser when I clean them. When the stools arrive I would check out how the pieces of wood connect to each of the four legs. I think that piece is called the stretcher.

hilltop...I got the fabric at a large, local discount fabric warehouse so have no information on it. ...i love polka dots. Bat2....thanks to nosoccer I just realized we have the same colors....my kitchen is gold and my LR and DR are gray. Nosoccer....if you're interested...my kitchen is BM Bridgewater Tan @75%....similar to Sandy Brown. My LR is London Fog, DR is on same chip but a bit darker-- Plymouth Rock.

Thanks! I discovered Carrington Court chairs here. They get brought up every now and then. Several GW people have them. I've never read a complaint.

We just received our 6 chairs from CC last Saturday and we're quite happy. They did a beautiful job lining up the pattern and all chairs are a perfect match to each other. The quality seems top notch for the price.

We ordered swatches, which is a must. Some fabrics are heavier than others and we needed something that would hold up.

Customer service was good, they even answered my call on Saturday when I asked about our delivery status. Most helpful.

Can you share which fabric all of you purchased for your CC chairs?
The quality of the fabric is what I am most concerned with as I am looking to order the skirted chairs. I am thinking of going with a neutral color.
