We are in the process of building and need to make our kitchen cabinet selections this month. I'm very torn between black and white cabinets, the only thing that I know for sure is that the floors will be really dark almost black. Our layout is very open with tall ceilings and we have tons of natural light - I would also add extra lighting if we went with black cabinets. If we went with white, I am thinking about breaking it up with a dark island. My husband doesn't care for white kitchens, but he has said as long as it looks nice he'll be okay with whatever color I end up picking out. I realize both white and black cabinets pose issues as far as keeping them clean, but I haven't found any pictures of kitchens with dark floors and medium colored cabinets that look good to me. If anyone has dark flooring in their kitchen (or found ones online you like), I'd love to see what colors you went with for your cabinets!
