Layout Advice - 6' = more range or more counter?

I'm stuck on the last details of our range/fridge wall in our galley kitchen. We are going with IKEA cabinets (not quite sure which door style yet). From the 15" pull-out pantry to the right edge of the fridge, we're set, but we're having trouble figuring out the remaining 96" of cabinets/range configuration.

Shown here is a 36" range flanked by 30" upper and lower cabinets. It's nice and symmetrical, but 36" ranges, especially dual-fuel, are really expensive.

If I decided to go with a 30" range, one of the sides would need to be 36", as IKEA doesn't offer 33" cabinets in this configuration, and I haven't seen any 6" 'fillers' I'm impressed with.

So, I'm looking for input and opinions. Should I suck it up and pay the extra $$$ for the larger range and have a nice, symmetrical layout? If a 30" range is my lot, which side should get the 36" cabinet? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
