Hi Oceanna, I am sure there are more than just the posters, the lurkers too, who soooo appreciate the time you take to post to the gallery. Before my computer stopped allowing me to see the gallery pics, I always went straight to those when in need of a new idea or inspiration. Like you, I'd go browse hours if I was in need of something different on my fireplace mantel or a different look for my coffee table. I was always able to find something in the gallery as opposed to my decor mags that are now filled with nothing but ads and very little detail decor. "Who's holding back on a stash of their own?" I emailed you when I was no longer able to get into the gallery to view pics or to post them. Although they are not a stash of my own home, the link I sent you had pics that could be interesting to some who are into different painting techniques. Don't know if you ever checked that email addy of yours but I was trying to contribute, honest, really I was! *s* Can't contribute with my own pics because there is not a single room in my home that is completed. Working on it daily but have a long way to go.

I tried to make each "piece of glass" look like the real thing and unless you get right up on them, they do look real. Once you're nose-to-nose with them you realize they're not, but they're so pretty you don't care -- at least I think so. No, the two windows I did were my own designs (though the center of the big one is a Tiffany design I adopted). However, there are some beautiful new patterns out that Michaels has -- I saw them a couple of weeks ago at my local store, so it's worth it for you to check them out. If you do your windows, it's quite a lot of work standing on your feet (if you're a perfectionist like I am). I did my bathroom window in place. But for the huge one where I would have had to be up on a ladder, no way. I had the hardware store cut me a piece of plexiglas to fit the window and did it on my living room rug. For my son's, I did the dragonfly and the flowers at my dining room table on special cling stuff you can get from the Window Butterflies lady online, then did the rest of the window right on the glass, incorporating and sealing those in. I have a sewing/craft room set up, which I use almost every day. I can't find my camera cable right now, so I can't upload a photo, but I had a thought about your space. You really need a sewing machine space AND a table space because half of sewing is laying out the pattern, cutting, etc. I'm pretty sure I'm at my sewing table at least as much as I am at my machine itself. So, what might work really well for you is to get an old armoire from your local CL, and create something like the attached for the machine itself. Then you could position the table about a foot and a half out from the wall so that the person using it would stand between the wall and table, and could view tv. You could use the space under the table for wheeled carts which could hold storage supplies. Honestly the best storage I have in my craft room is the 8 foot long pegboard I put up. Everything hangs there: scissors, rotary cutters, rotary rulers, tape measures, etc. I can clean up in under two minutes, which helps me keep the area neat. The third element that is critical to the space is an ironing board. You could easily accomodate that by putting a fold-down board on the wall. They even have attractive cabinets for them now.
