White Kitchen need tile back splash and wall paint ideas

Hello all, we are going to demo our kitchen Monday and getting new white cabinets to go with the 40s house. I am looking for advice and photos on tile back splash colors/ designs and wall colors. The kitchen look onto the dining room which has a faux green sponged (sage) wall paint. Any ideas will be appreciated! Thanks

A softer tone of the sage without pattern would be really lovely with the white cabienets or a gorgeous dove gray. You could then use either in the backsplash, or both :) Or go with white there as well for a very clean look.

Have you seen flatcoat_2004's kitchen? I wonder if that could work for you ....

nosoccermom, Yes those tiles were the ones we had actually looked at already. We definitely need a new floor, the old one has been really beaten up and in fact was only glued around the edges, and it's coming up around the wall in some parts, and overall looks dingy. We weren't sure how the color would fit in with the kitchen however. The interior designer recommended something called "grey washed" is what I have written down. I like the appeal of the luxury vinyl, they aren't cold tile, easy to install, and the grout is actually a better version than regular tile group in that it's not porous.

That is some really nice granite! I decided to take a look at some pendant lights (I assume they'll go over an island, but if you need something else, like a ceiling semi-flush mount, please let me know) and chose to look at pendants with nickel finish to go with the cabinet handles. I can expand the search to include bronze or other finish families too, though! Thanks! I decided to keep the larger tile to create a bigger feel in the kitchen...like I said it's the smallest kitchen I've seen (barring a retirement home!) but I'm considering going UP the corner wall space maybe 2 rows difference from the backsplash under the cabinets and then adding my 30 inch rustic shelves on either side (possibly staggered OR resting on the top of the tile where it ends on the wall on both sides (not sure which way I want to do it...again, it's a visual thing for me), and then using the coordinating paint further up the wall for a little pop. Will determine if I go up the extra 2 rows based on where the pendant light hangs down to.

I am looking for the same. New white kitchen in a home built in 1928- my adjacent dining room is also a green. We have wood floors and will have some stainless. I am still trying to figure out countertops and backsplash- designer and architect like white subway. There is a beautiuful green kitchen on this site somewhere I think the name was "Bulkey". You might be able to do the same in grey. If you cannot find it I think I have filed a photo of it. I think it may be a Candice Olsen design.

I am wanting a sunnnier color for mine - I tend to love the yellows and am even considering an apricot/paler mango color. Now sure how this would work with the green dining room - but I cannot stop thinking about it.

I will keep you posted on my colors as they change. Does anyone have a kitchen that is apricot or mango?

This is a photo of the kitchen as it looks now. I will post more as the project progresses.

and here is the dining area next to the kitchen, so trying to match the colors. Thanks for the advice.

Susan Jablon has endless combinations that you can purchase either as is or create your own blend. Many have purchased from them and praise their service. Of course, a nice light sagey green subway glass would look awesome and traditional. However, if you want something more melon(y); you can find soemthing different there (other glass tile manufacturers too would have). Here's something on her site. You can alter the amount of each color to your liking with the blend gadget to create the mix of your dreams!
