i found some really fantastic finds...i think
Comments (7)Hiya Greg, Not sure what you were thinking but hum ... I'm a pumice girl, simply 'cause I've had access to it for a long time, but for those who don't, that's why I advocate Perlite. Drainage really matters for Haws. grown indoors, I've had mine lose roots once or twice (not this one). Above shot is the cleaned up version of this find I made at a BBS, something like $3.99 like OP's find. The actual find as I found it. Some real gems out there, if one looks closely, gets lucky & learns the delivery days of the BBS. Then one can get there fast enough before they incur bad care. Sorry Nancy (OP), I don't know much about crests of that. I've seen crested Ech. & Aeoniums, not so much of Sedum or Grapto. 'Rare' I think is often overused online, more like a marketing ploy, to try & sucker folks in that the plant is something distinct & unique....See MoreWhat do I need to really know about the LaCanche
Comments (34)I thought about getting a wall oven in addition to my two Cluny ovens and warming cupboard. When we were building out house, I was worried that I wouldn't have enough space with just the Cluny ovens; which are smaller than the Sully ovens. I ended up not doing the wall oven, because I wasn't sure which one I wanted and I became overwhelmed with out decisions related to building a house. Over five years later, the space I left for the wall oven, still holds my microwave and I have no intention of buying another oven in my kitchen. I easily feed my entire family of six and host large parties with the Cluny 1400. I can't speak for everyone, but like me, I believe many people are use to large American sized ovens and worry about downsizing to something smaller. What I've learned is that my old American sized oven was never very practical, I could only cook things at the same temperature and most of the time I was heating up the entire oven space for something like a casserole dish. And for larger events, the oven was mostly taken up with something like a turkey making it almost impossible to cooks sides on the same day....See Moredo really nice washable slipcovers for recliners exist?
Comments (5)darn, I was afraid that would be the answer. oh well, back to cotton throws which do the job but look messy and have to be adjusted constantly. I had the crushed velvet lazy boy recliners but dh complained they were itchy on bare legs, so when I bought new I went with leather, which look great but I don't like to sit on leather. lol, now that I write that i realize just how weird that is because I ride horses and love my saddles!...See MoreGoing for a clean sweep this fall
Comments (8)I must have missed that thread because nothing at the website looks familiar. Pretty sure the one I am remembering was on Amazon because I dithered about putting it on my wish list but now all I see there are the usual assortment of ordinary brooms. There must be a big gaping hole in my life that I'm seeking a special, not ordinary broom but well, that's where I am!...See Moredeedles
