I have the new Bravo set purchased in May and am disappointed by the amount of wrinkling that DOES occur. I get bad wrinkling on just the regular spin speed and dare not even try the fastest spin cycle. Most problematic is the ease of wrinkling of all my cottons (especially the lighter weight T shirts) and jeans. It helps to use the wrinkle guard feature but why should I have to find an alternative to prevent wrinkling on such basic laundry items? This was a very expensive purchase and I'm not too pleased with all the extra ironing I have to do. You do need to load individually around the washplate for sure so the clothes don't get tangled. I have yet to experience tangling but learned early on that you cannot just throw something like a robe over the top of the rest of the laundry and over the middle of the machine. Looking down in the window (which by the way isn't very visable when warm or hotter water is being used thus causing steam and condensation), that robe never moved out of place and ended up ballooning out like a huge mushroom. That load was a disaster as all the clothes beneath the robe weren't able to get a proper rinsing, thus all the detergent residue remained on those items (including the underside of the robe which was submerged over everything else). While I've had some good cleaning results and some not so good, I have to learn to accept my choice as hubby wanted front loaders all along. But the one most aggravating thing about BOTH Bravo washer and dryer is the amount of noise generated. The whirling noise as the washer drum swivels back and forth is most annoying and the dryer motor is very loud. Today my plumber was in the next room and he couldn't believe how bad it was. He thought there was a jet ready to take off. Only when I closed the laundry room door was when the Matag Bravos lived up to being "quiet". My girlfriend has a front loader and on the wash cycle there is just the sound of gentle swishing of water. Unfortunately I can't say the same thing about my top loader.

Some people love toploaders and curse front loaders. Some people love frontloaders and curse top loaders. Some people wouldn't have a machine without a heater and some don't care. Personally, I look for what cycles the heater works. Often they only work on a cycle or two and that would not justify the cost to me. Some have physical issues with bending and yes, even sitting to do laundry. I solved my dryer issue with some cement blocks and a homemade pallet. Raised the dryer up 14" and I have a nice table now with the hamper door. (I have the 7.4 cf Whirlpool dryer. Beats the daylights out of the previous Frigidaire and yes, even the Maytag dependable care dryer I had) Some are sold on brand name. That's foolish IMO. Many times you don't know where or by whom they're built. What should be important? IMO your budget is the #1 consideration. Always. Then consider any preferences, how much laundry you do, what features you find important and the other things. There's a bunch of threads here addressing this topic. Seems like this question is asked many times a month and often gets the same people arguing the same points. FWIW, my sister bought a Cabrio unit a couple months ago. I tried to convince her to go with the heater but she is old-world, haven't had one - no need for one... She couldn't be happier with her Cabrio. She decided (and rightly so IMO) to repair her dryer rather than buy a new one. Dryers are pretty basic all in all. There's pros and cons to everything. I don't care what brand you take for example every brand will have people who have had bad luck with it somewhere, sometime. For my money, they're all pretty much the same reliability-wise when you factor price into the equation and sometimes the cheaper units are more cost-effective. High end unit owners will scream theirs is so much better and 10 times the price. To compare to what I have, they'd need to last 300+ years to be comparable in service. I haven't seen one go that long yet. How often you wash, how big a loads you wash, what wash habits you have, can all factor in too. Generally, FL take longer to wash. Some units with heaters can take upward of 3-4 hours to do a load. If you're a person who does one (or maybe 2) loads every day, this isn't an issue. If you're one who wants to wash 10 loads on a Saturday, this will make a difference. If you're used to one technology, a different one will have a learning curve. If you don't like to learn new things, then factor that in too. How big a laundraholic/laundromaniac are you? If you get into technical details, you might like new gadgets. If you want clean clothes, a rock and a river or a tub and washboard will do the job. Many people bring on their own troubles by not learning how to use their machines properly. There's a lot of info on here, I highly recommend reading through the threads. Yes, it'll take some time and there's a variety of opinions and disagreements. I would take out two of the middle framed art near the center of the hall and add a large mirror. At the very end I would do some sort of single panel wall paper mural. And then, depending on the style of the rest of your home an interesting stand on which will sit a single vibrant colored vase with something tall and sparse. Or, a floor to ceiling mirror while keeping the continuous wall of art.

Cran, I am usually the one who needs a fire lit under me! Arapaho I also gravitate towards greens and yellows and those are the predominant colors downstairs. I made a concerted effort upstairs to use blue and white and taupe in the main living area and secondary bedrooms. Tina, part of the reason I wanted to leave off the chair skirt is because I wasn’t sure I have enough fabric for it. A large plaid or pattern repeat means just a club chair skirt can take 3 yards of fabric! So after I saw the bed I called the upholsterer and told him to leave off the skirt and change the legs to turned ones. It was a question of necessity as much as happy coincidence.
