I fully agree that ending glass mosaic in the middle of a wall can look unfinished. You could terminate or frame it with a border, with the border being anything...either tile or wood for example. Think along the lines of a chair rail that caps wainscot. Mongo

Thanks for the feedback! Just picked up 2 different "TEC" grout colors: "sand" and taupe grey... I was really looking to NOT having the grout lines stand out but let the breaking light (from under cabinet halogen lights) really show the glass lines and shadows. Well, I'll do a 'dry test' today and will post the finished product later.

The floor is the same in the photo as well. I am going with a dark countertop called tan/black. What should I paint the walls not covered in backsplash, and how dark can i go on the cabinets. The kitchen is actually going to be very similar to the pic except the cabinets and countertop. Any help woul be appreciated. What color are your tiles? You need to be sure you are using the right grout color for your glass tiles, or they will change the color of the tiles. I recall seeing a post where someone used white grout where they should have used tan, and their brown tiles looked pink. Yes, you absolutely need unsanded because sanded will scratch the tiles. We have blue glass mosaics with bright white unsanded grout that was recommended to go with the tile. It has been about 3 years, and I did did use sealer. It looks fine. I just wipe up any splashes right away.
