Does anyone know if there is a website where I can buy only a flat sheet? I buy queen size flat sheets to make my round tablecloths (big table). Thanks so much. Betsy.

I know that Walmart sells flat sheets (not in sets). Maybe their website?

I should probably just scratch the idea unless I stumble across nice looking sheets for a great price. I agree if the fabric is thin it isn't going to look nice. I considered fabric but it sounded like less work somehow just using sheets. I guess it's not really. Terriks those curtains from Ikea would be perfect and more what I would rather spend. I sooo wish Ikea would mail their curtains. I'd probably use them for everything. For the gas it would cost me to drive to a store, I should just buy the JCP ones. Well making curtains was a short lived thought! :)

Part of the problem is that people assume that their mattress is the standard, advertised size. Like an standard King is supposed to be 76x80 but MANY manufacturers cut their mattresses short, believe it or not. Tempurpedic is notorious for cutting their mattresses short (Saves them money? Who knows.) The point is - the pocket depth being wrong is not the only problem you will have with getting a tight fit and avoiding swimming in bunched-up sheets on your bed. We have a Tempurpedic King mattress that is actually 74.5 inches wide by 79 inches long and 11.5 inches high. The thing to do is to order from custom sheet companies. These sheets are not that much more expensive than many premade sheets and often are higher quality. We ordered fitted sheets to match our existing sheet sets (similar colors) and the prices were quite reasonable. Good companies we found include CozyTown (https://cozytownlinens.com/ Call or read instructions on how to order custom sheets - they want you to choose the general size in the dropdown list then in the comments section tell them the actual mattress measurements). They use only long staple cotton. Their Italian and 300 thread count sheets are really nice and ship fast, while their 500 TC takes a bit longer to order. CustomMattressFactory.com is another company with 600 TC organic cotton that is even less expensive than the former company. But there are a lot of companies doing this sort of customization. We gave up searching for premade sheets to fit the beds and have finally gotten sheets that fit.

If you have a Tuesday Morning nearby you can check there. They'll often have higher-line linens that are sold separately rather than sets. I think I've gotten a fitted sheet alone at either TJ Maxx or Home Goods (I use them to cover the box springs) but that has been some time ago.

Land's End sells a few flat sheets. The Company Store sells its sheets singly, not in sets.

eBay occasionally has large French Linen sheets hand loomed from the 30's and earlier which take dyes nicely. There are LOTS of damask tablecloths and many are unused. Larger sizes are a bit harder to find but the fabrics are gorgeous! Plenty of damask linen napkins in extra large sizes are available as well. Of course, eBay also has new flat queen sized sheets.

It's my favorite place to shop!

The company store sells them as well, at least in their children's linens. I made a weighted blanket for my dd out of them, and it's held up well.

I just bought this flat sheet about a month ago and love it. It is Percale and nice and cool to sleep on.
