Vintage Mahogany DR Chairs--Which Style?

I think I was so inspired by Val's recent dining room set purchase that I started looking around for replacements for my current DR chairs. The chairs I have had for the past 20+ years are lower quality mahogany shield backs (very plain, no detail) from the 50's. They all need repair/restoration, but I don't actually like them enough to do this. Here's what I found on the Boston Craig's List, and I have a time scheduled to meet with the seller tomorrow. My question: which do you like best? My DR has a very traditional hepplewhite sideboard, white raised panel wainscoat, red upper walls and elegantly fringed toile drapes. (I'm trying to find the pictures I took to post). I prefer the second set of chairs which have what is called either a "sweetheart" shield back or "apple" shield back. What do you think? The dealer wants roughly $600-900 for the set of six.

Sweetheart/apple back chair:

By the way, the "apple back" chairs are Drexel, the others don't have a brand.

Thanks!
