My DD's house has a small galley kitchen with limited counterspac

Sorry for the duplicate post--

My DD's house has a small galley kitchen with limited counter space. Their microwave is taking up valuable real estate and I've been thinking of ideas to free up some space. The previous owner who flipped the house didn't know much about kitchen design and the granite backsplash is way too tall--it must be over 24" high. Therefore the cabinets are high and while it would be great to mount the micro under the cabs, but I'm not sure if there is an electrical outlet conveniently placed. My most recent thought was that since the space is high it would be wonderful if there was such a thing as a wood or metal microwave stand where she could store breads or other items underneath and multipurpose that space.

Does such a thing exist or what other clever ideas are lurking out there to solve her problem?
