Any granite similar look to marble?

I feel in love with this beige cream marble for my kids bathroom. The more I research it the more I think I will be better off with a granite, I am afraid of it getting ruined, even though my kids are careful. Is there any granite that would be similar to a beige cream marble? Thanks so much!

Are you sure that is marble? It's hard to tell from the photo, but from my computer it looks like a quartz/Caesarstone product, which would be much more durable than marble.

Perhaps the closest is "Taj Mahal", which is actually a quartzite. The downside is that you generally have to buy a slab, and they can be pricey and hard to find.

In the 'not a stone' category is CS Dreamy Marfil, which looks quite close to the actual stone (Crema Marfil), at least relative to other quartz counters

Stopped in to see them at South Plainfield location. The salesman was very nice, and gave me samples of everything I liked. I got a piece of something they call Vermont White, which I love - just white & gray, with lots of movement. I also took a sample of something called Classic White (I know the names can change from place to place) which has lots of shimmer, but I tested it with some Diet Coke - my drink of choice - and it was stained within a couple of hours. Is it possible it's not granite, but something else?

Also, I have another one that looks like a picture from the hubble. Really, really pretty! There is also a quartzite stone I looked at and considered buying. It was a bit cheaper than my granite I did get and it reminded me of carrera marble (that I absolutely love!). I decided to go with something with more color (Yellow River) because I thought I might get bored (over the next 100 years until I can afford to redo my kitchen again) with just two colors. There are some other granites that look like chocolate chip ice cream (sierra comes to mind), so they are out there if you want them.

htracey, I could have written your original post! *I* could live with the normal patina of marble. But knowing how my husband is, there's no way it will end up with a normal patina in our particular house. Too many times, on our current dark (antique brown) granite, do I find dried on food or spills, whether it be from boiled shrimp or crawfish (we're in Louisiana) or drippings from a messy sandwich from him or apple juice, gatorade, soup, etc. from one of our kids that he or they didn't wipe up. Not only that, but my daughter loves to draw and color at our island. I can't stop our everyday lives because of our countertop choice. If I was there to wipe things up EVERY TIME everyone ate, it'd be fine. But that's not real life. So, I'm now looking at granite and quartzite and even quartz. I'm changing my focus. But I'm not going to get something that's pretending to be something it's not. In other words, I can't get something that is trying to be marble but isn't really marble. So I'm looking at other white stones with gray in them (and maybe other shades as well) but that have a slightly different look to them. Maybe you should look at it that way also? Having said that, Bianco Romano is a lovely granite. White Macaubus is a gorgeous quartzite. I've never seen the Madre Perla (above) locally but it looks lovely too!

Hi Nancylisey28, we're excited you are interested in Cambria. Seagrove is a beautiful design, with a lot of bold movement. If you are looking for something more subtle, we recommend Weybourne or Swanbridge. Both are white-based with stormy gray veining, that can accentuate the blue in your vanity. Thanks so much!! So very helpful. I will post in bath & kitchen too.
And I am positive it is marble, I saw it in a store, I have more pics that are more accurate, the one I attached also has a sample of the marble in front. It is Robow's cream beige marble top (there was a "TY" in the description in the sample too).

I went to the akdo website and found madreperia...you may find something else there you like.

We chose to go with corian in the bath as it is durable and a lot softer and warmer than either granite or marble...I always view granite as a glass breaker. Also you can do the integrated sinks so no seams anywhere. So you might want to look at corian or it's equivalent. This is tumble weed:

As far as staining goes, granite is almost as much of a problem as marble, as would be any natural stone. For a children's bathroom, I would definitely look at engineered quartz products. They would hold up much better and some of them are absolutely beautiful.
