Ok, this is a really nice surprise! I already bought the sconces and I can't return them, but I haven't purchased the ceiling fixture. I love that last light posted, but it is more then I am hoping to spend. Off to search some more!

Those are gorgeous sconces. You made a great choice. IMO, they're much nicer than the chandy you picked, so you got "stuck" with the better lighting!

That's very pretty! I found an almost identical one that comes with an 8" rod or a chain. Here is it pictured with the rod. I only have an 8'6" ceiling, so with a 12" fixture I should probably use the chain and only use a few links. I've heard that you want to go no lower than 7' for the lowest point on the foyer light fixture.

I don't like these as much....but similar in concept:

I like this one slightly better, but it seems that the rounded metal pieces of the other lights relate better to the sconces (as opposed to the flat metal pieces of this fixture).

Just to confuse myself, I just found another pretty sconce that might work well with the light right above.

The sconces you first posted about are elegant and timeless, not rustic. I haven't seen a single ceiling fixture in these posts that blends with them or even looks good on its own. Keep the sconces and keep on looking for an equally elegant ceiling fixture. I recently was scouting for light fixtures on line and found a site called lightingdirect.com that seems to have a large selection and decent prices. I am not going to suggest anything specific to you, but you might want to browse that site's ceiling fixtures section if you haven't already. I have no connection to the site other than that I bought 6 fixtures from them and was satisfied.

I really like this one for your house and think it will go well with your sconces. I also tried using the one you originally posted but it just didn't do your beautiful foyer justice. My mock up probably is not to scale but still gives you the idea.

Thank you everyone for your advise so far! I really appreciate your help. At the risk of providing too many options, here are some lights that seem to be a good fit. Would any of these work? I lean towards "D" and "G". The most expensive options are "J" and "K"....so I am crossing my fingers that those aren't the only good ones. :)

The paint color is BM Revere Pewter, copied by Miller Paint.

@rebecca, I have that last sconce you posted but in brass. Love it. But I think your original sconces will look great too. So since you already own them, go with them.

Here is one of the two you liked. I tried both and thought this one looked much better. Here is a mockup.

I like H. The foyer's not so big and there's lots of interest, so it doesn't need much more. H is kind of simple like the sconce, and it repeats the shapes of the sconce--straight sides, rounded shape, with circular accents.

Who makes the sconces you already own? *edited to add: I did a Google image search and see it's from Pottery Barn.

I honestly wouldn't choose any from the last group.

I just replaced my Master Bedroom light with a Cambridge light, but in a flush mount Antique Brass finish. I think this would be perfect for you lovely foyer. I think your sconces are lovely and elegant as is your foyer. Maybe AK could do a mockup?

I agree Tib. I owe you big time for finding that light for me. I am going to replace more of our lights with others from the same collection.

I like the third one you posted I. Saturday at 21:32. The curves Echo the shape of the sconces very nicely, and the sconces are beautiful, btw.

Tib, It is on DH's list of to do items. Anything that involves the house is always last on his list but I reminded him this morning of the items that need done.

I have to agree with Tib on this one. I think that last light doesn't reflect the elegance of her beautiful sconces.

One more to suggest. This is a Hubbardton Forge, simple and elegant, but it's the real deal.

I have a house full of Hubbardton Forge fixtures. They are extremely well made and beautiful. I think that one is too small though. I have it to one side in my bathroom (the "hallway" from MBR to closet) and two in our walk-in closet.

Allison, we brought that gorgeous fixture up on another thread, remember? That is my new favorite light! I emailed a pic of it to some friends, and they're going to get it for the house they're going to reno for themselves. However, I think that one is too large for Rebecca's foyer, which is why I put up the semi-flush mount Hubbardton for her.

Sorry I disappeared yesterday! I have searched the entire internet (maybe a slight exaggeration....), and here is my final (?) attempt.

My top two choices are "1" from Tibbrix and "2", which is very similar to one of my previous posts.

Make sure whichever you choose is on a dimmer.

#1.

Check out how many watts of light are available in the fixture and decide if that is enough for your area. Do you need light to look into a closet or to put on shoes, etc.

Personal taste - I don't like lights 3 and 4. Those type of lights always look like they belong on a table with their little feet on them and they just appear to be dangling in mid-air looking for a place to rest. Just my opinion.

I also like #5 and think it goes well with your arts-&craft style door and woodwork.

I like #2 or #3.

#1 is perfect. Hands down!

The other nice thing about the Hubbardton Forge is that it's classic, so it will never go out of style or look outdated.

If you do go with #1, I would ask Hubbardton Forge if it can come with honey or antique gold/bronze sleeves, versus the white. If not, you can always get them elsewhere. My go-to guy for this stuff is Clayton at Aceiron.com. He's in Maine. He can sell the sleeves to you separately.My broker bought some from him as she needed the gold sleeves.

It uses three 60 watt candelabra bulbs. Is that enough? My 5-light 60 W candelabra chandelier is not enough light during the nine months out of the year that we don't see the sun. I am already craving light!

I don't think the colonial styling fits in your Craftsman home.

I had a locally owned lamp store order candle sleeve covers for all of my Hubbardton Forge fixtures. She cut at no charge, which would have been a huge pain.

I don't know if you saw or are just ignoring - since you like the #1 fixture - but that fixture is going to be too small for your space. I have it in my bathroom (off to the side) and two in our MBR walk-in closet.

Allison, the Hubbardton Forge light you have in your front hall is the absolute best light, possibly on the planet. But would it be too big for her entry? Her ceilings are lower than yours.

Allison - I just didn't read carefully....definitely not ignoring!

The Hubbardton fixture is 13" in diameter and the foyer is approximately 8x8.

Our foyer is 9', so probably too low for hers if she wants much chain.

Rebecca, I thought your ceiling was higher than 8'. The 13" h x 13" diameter might work for you.

I have this one in the back hallway, different finish (garage entrance) - also 9' ceiling. Bought thinking maybe foyer, but it was too small. 10.5" h x 9.2" dia.

Here is the 13" x 13" light fixture in our MBath. Older picture, and not great but I'm not home. It needs some chain on it in order to look right. Looks like there are 5 or 6 links on ours. Maybe it will work for you.
