Just wanted to thank all of you for your photos and input - they finished painting yesterday and we love the Tobacco Road - my husband wants to paint the whole house with it! Like you all said, it is definitely not too dark and adds warmth to our room which it really needed because one of the rooms is basically a wall of windows - which is nice but makes it very difficult to give the room warmth and personality because of the lack of wall space for art, etc. and the fact that I can't do window treatments with so many windows. So the color really helps - thanks again so much! If I can figure out how to post pictures, I will do that soon.

I have SW Whole Wheat in my kitchen and family room area. My understanding is that this is very similar to Tobacco Road and I actually had SW give me color to go samples of both that were quite similar. In the rest of the adjoining rooms I have SW Believable Buff. It complements the Whole Wheat very well, but it still has the gold undertones, it is just lighter. The house is still under construction, and much of the wood trim work is not yet done so I apologize for the mess, but here are a few shots of each color. This is Whole Wheat in family room: Whole Wheat in kitchen: Believable Buff in foyer: I also think your rooms look great in the pictures, but you need to be happy living in them every day. Your kitchen is stunning with the mix of painted and stained cabinets! I loved SW color sample pots and they saved me from making some huge mistakes while choosing colors for the new build. I wish I had used them more! Every color looks different in different lighting/housing situations and the $5 was worth avoiding an expensive mistake. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help!! Mimi 2006...The pictures are just what I needed. I love the fenland. I also love that you have it with the TR. It looks like they contrast beautifully. I'm off to the paint store. Based on some of the posts I've read there seems to be some questioning if SW can mix TR appropriately. I quess I will have to double check when I'm in there the difference between TR and Camelback. I really don't want to make the 40min drive to my local Duron dealer. Laura, thanks for all the additional pictures...your house looks great! Do you like your lantern-style light fixture? I am considering that kind as well as a traditional chandlier type (no upward facing glass bowls). Acomom, when I first saw your post I thought, acomom, where do I know that name from? Then I remembered. I am pretty sure I tried to "find" you about 9 months ago after seeing your finished kitchen on the FKB. I loved your backsplash. I ended up with Jerusalem Gold with some small Sonoma tileworks accents. I think you had J. Pearl and some larger sonoma accents...if I remember correctly. Now that I think about it, I remember liking your paint as well! Thanks for responding to this post and for providing some inspiration for my backsplash! Thanks Mimi.
